Many people come and go. Some make an impact on your life, they hurt you then forget about you…and that’s why many people have trust issues. YOU on the other hand taught me to trust you. Trust is not an easy thing. People overuse and abuse trust, they take it for granted. But you…YOU make perfect sense. YOU know how far you can take things; YOU know my limits without me telling you. Without knowing YOU guide me to do what’s right. YOU make me make sense of things. YOU push me through life when I just want to give up. YOU show me right from wrong. YOU make me smile. YOU make me think twice about everything but YOU. I don’t feel the need to impress when I’m with you; because I know that no matter how I look you will still accept me for me. YOU tell me it’s okay to cry and let it all out. You know just what to say to make me feel like everything will be just fine. Yeah, YOU do that.
YOU mean the world to me. These past days have been magnificent talking to you. YOU made me feel like a real person… just because lately I haven’t felt like a real person. People make me feel insecure and that everything I do is wrong; but you, YOU assure me that I’m a great person besides all the bad decisions I have made. I’ve been hurt by guys, that make me think that they actually care about me, and of course I believe it! But once they get what they want from me, it’s like I don’t even exist to them anymore. But, YOU treat me like a lady, and don’t take things too far. YOU show me how a guy should treat a girl. Through actions & words you show me you truly care. And from here on out, no matter what happens, YOU will have been the one who set the standards for all those to come into my life. No one compares to YOU.
No, you aren’t perfect- no one is. But YOU make sense of everything you do and everything you say. YOU are a wonderful person. I have realized that I don’t need many people to be happy… just a few real ones who appreciate me, and YOU do. Sometimes people just need a hand to hold and a heart to understand… and no, you might not hold my hand but you do understand my heart and reason with me. I love everything about you. When I say “I love you” it’s not because I want you or I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. Yeah, maybe I’ve thought about loving you that way but I love what YOU are & what YOU do. You have showed me your kindness and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what and who YOU are.
I may come across as hard to get, but that’s because I’ve been through a few things, seen a few things, been there and done that…I’m cold, yes but only because I once cared about someone who failed to care about me. I’ve built a fortress to protect me from further damage. You’ve said you’re different- but to some that’s not enough… that’s why you went that extra mile and PROVED it, because just like you said actions are everything. And yet, with you I let that fortress come down all because I trust you and know you won’t hurt me but my main reason for letting that fortress down when I’m around you is because…
