It's a screwed up world we live in. We're labeled and controlled.
By our peers, with names and popularity. We are stepped on like the rungs of a ladder, and told that to be successful you have to be on top, and to be on top you have to be pretty, or smart, but not too smart, or thin, but not too thin. You have to be fake, but if you're fake, you're judged.
By the system, with numbers and codes. Cards for "our security" and pin numbers. If you sneeze, they know. To the system, you're nothing but a code, a number, a collection of characters, a slew of letters. A black and white picture of lines and squiggles that match with your thumb.
By the world, with success. If you're not successful in everyone elses' definition but your own, you've failed. They'll judge you without so much as knowing your name, see you once in public and brand you for life. It's sick to think about, but we all do it. That girl with the mean look on her face must be a brat, and the girl with her stomach slightly showing must think she's cute.
It's sick and twisted, how all free-will, any ounce of originiality, is gone. And it's even worse to know that we can't do a single thing about it.
