I wake up when I dream of her. I
scold myself for entertaining a fantasy. How dare my dreams
give me whom I can no longer have?
How dare I miss who is gone? The dreams continue anyway.
Apparently, I will want whom I want, and I will miss whom I
miss. There’s nothing I can do about it.
