The Quiet Ones
This poem is for the quiet ones
The shy ones, and the ones who hardly speak
I understand why you are quiet
And its not because you are weak
Some people think more loudly than they speak
Some people write better than they talk
Some people have more to say on paper
Some people would rather run than walk
What is so wrong with being quiet?
What is so great about being loud?
Why does what I do get critiqued
and what you do makes you proud?
Congratulations, you are loud
You may get more attention than me
It may not be the good kind
But I understand, that's the only way you know to be
Those who are quiet,
We don't have much to say outloud
We are not rude or aloof
It's just we get no benefit from being loud
We speak better when we write
Our minds can be so full of things to say
Sometimes it keeps us up at night
We are the quite ones, we are misunderstood
We may get labeled as weird and shy
For doing what most should consider good
Sometimes its good to stay silent
To sit and not say a word
Remember, just because someone is quiet
Doesn't mean they go through life unheard
I got inspiration for this poem,
mainly because I am tired of the way people always say rude things
about people who are more quiet or shy than others....It's not
a bad thing, it doesn't mean we don't want to talk to
people...some people are just quiet, and shouldn't get made to
feel bad about it
