(I have a few people I would call my 'best friend' so
I'm just going to pick one of them because the others go
under some of these other things)
Dear Julia,
I'm not sure how you became my best friend, it just kind of
happened. I can tell you stuff that I can't tell other
people. And thanks for helping me out with my Corey situation --
you helped me learn how to talk to him initially and you held me
when I cried. And you listened to me when I was still upset over
it and talking about how much I loved him even though you hate
his guts. You're still my friend even when I say the weirdest
things and gross you out.
You're one of the few people I let read my poetry and you
don't judge me even though it's all super depressing. We
don't talk as much as we should but we talk in Geometry and
Choir all the time (okay, well, we pass notes and that's
better than talking for me because I can word things better in
notes) so we're getting closer.

Dear Angie,
Heyyy beautiful!!! :D We've been through so much -- my Corey
thing and your thing with that one guy. It sucks that we went
through these things at the same time, because if I wasn't so
upset about Corey I would've been there for you way more and
would've been a better friend than I had been. I wish I
wasn't so focused on Corey anymore because it's not like
I even have him anymore and like you tell me "if he's
not going to talk to you, f/ck him!" and I know I should.
I'll try.<3 You were there for me right after I got broken
up with, when I was sobbing. After I'd run to you and you
hugged me and then you went and got my stuff from the band room
because, like an idiot, I left them in there but couldn't go
back in there because of the tears trailing down my face that
I would not let him see. Thanks for letting me cry
without badgering me with questions about what was wrong because
you knew.
You asked me if you should kick his butt and you said you'd
get him back for me and I told you what locker number was his but
you never did anything and I can understand because you've
been busy but I still think we should do something to his locker.
Or maybe not and I should let this old dog lie.
And you're beautiful, you hear me? You're beautiful
inside and out and you are wonderful at music and everything you
hear me? You deserve first chair no matter what anyone else says.
