Sometimes I just feel the need to lie. Like I don't understand. Even if I wouldn't get in trouble for not doing something, I still tell everyone I've done it. I just can't help it. But then after that I feel like such a bad person. And I don't know what to do anymore. Its like I lie for everything, and I know that isn't good, but I always feel so scared about saying the wrong thing. What do I do? Please help?

I feel like me and my best friend are drifting apart. I've told her that I feel like this and she basically threw it back in my face and pretty much told me it was all my fault. Then we had a fight but we resolved it. I don't want to lose her but at the moment she only talks to me at school or if she needs help with homework. She thinks that my crush is all I can talk about and she's being really snappy with me. I have no idea what to do, please help?

Hey:) this is one of the worst kinds of problem to have, especially because you're best friends and have probably relied on each other a lot in the past. It could just be a phase you're going through, and maybe having a short time apart could make your friendship even stronger in the long run when she realises how much she's missed you? Or, you could talk to her again, either in real life or over the internet, and tell her exactly how you're feeling and how much she means to you as a friend. You could also try asking her why she's distancing herself, and maybe try and work on your differences? For example, if she said that she doesn't like you talking about your crush, tell her that you only talk about him with her because you trust her. Make her feel special, and she's bound to want to be your friend again. If that doesn't work, remember what made you best friends in the first place and try to re-create that..? I hope everything goes really well for you, and that you become friends again soon:) x

Hey:) it's really hard to tell someone you like them when they're with someone else, and it's hard to accept them being in another relationship if you want to date them. It's great that she's one of your best friends because it means you must know a lot about each other and feel comfortable around each other, right? So, all you can do at this stage is talk to her. Maybe you should try asking her how things are with the other guy, or maybe ask her if she'd like to meet up sometime, then you can ask her whether she still feels like she'd be with you if it wasn't for him..? Hint that you still like her and then its up to her to decide what to do next. Remember, if she was completely happy with this other guy, she wouldn't have thought about dating you and she wouldn't have said that she'd be with you if it wasn't for him. I think you've got a good chance, but don't let your heart rule your head and make sure that you think about the consequences of what you say to her, because you don't want to force her to like you back.
