I never wanted to post a quote about gay marriage, but now I
think I have to.
Let me start off by saying that I personally think gay marriage
is totally okay.
However, there are people in this world who don't think it's
okay, and what people don't understand is that screaming at them
saying they're wrong is never going to change their opinion.
There's a lot of people in this world, and there is going to be
lots of opinions that you do not agree with.
I think of it almost like smoking. I don't like smoking and I
personally believe it is wrong, but when I see someone smoking I
don't run up to them and slap the cigar out of their hands and
scream at them and call them a bad person, because what do I know
about them? Nothing. For all I know, they could've been trying to
quit their whole life, maybe they smoke because they've been
through something horrible and cigarettes give them a bit of
comfort for a moment.
I also feel I need to say that it's much different if the person
is rude or ignorant and actually starts the conflict. Then that's
a totally different problem of theirs.
I hope this quote made enough sense and I hope I didn't offend
anyone, thank you for taking the time to read this! Feel free to
share your own opinions.

I agree 100% with you.
I liked what you said about the cigarette thing, too. That's really an excellent way to look at it. Just because you don't like something, that doesn't mean you have to go and ruin it for everyone else.
People say it will "ruin the sanctity of marriage," but that's just utter bullsh/t.
My logic is simple.
Don't like same- marriage?
Don't get one.
I honestly can't see how it's so difficult for people to understand.
