Double Dare
Chapter 18
Lou's P.O.V
"Where are we going Sam!?"
"You"ll see"
It was about 5pm. and we were traveling through the jungle, Sam
told me he was taking me somewhere that I would love, but he
wouldn't tell me where. We had definately gotten closer
today, and I'm not afraid of my feelings for Sam anymore,
because I know it's mutual. The only thing that I AM afraid
of, is when this is all over...... I constantly wonder where that
will leave us, but the future is in the future, and I'm
going to have fun with Sam until that time comes.
"Lou, look up" Sam said with smile on his face.
I looked up to see a bunch of mist, I squinted my eyes, and as we
came closer, I could see a gorgeous river lined with rocks and
trees and exotic plants, there was a small waterfall streaming
down a huge cliff, and the water was crystal clear. There were
bluffs all around the river and it was breathtaking. Sam parked
the jeep alonside the river, and came around to help me out. He
walked me over to a magnificent plant that had the most beautiful
flowers on it and bent down and picked one, he pushed my hair out
of my face, and placed the flower's stem behind my ear.
I lifted my hand to his face and kissed him gently on the lips.
"Thankyou" I said smiling up at him.
"Well, if I'm gonna get a kiss everytime I give you
something, I think I might get you things more often" Sam
said with a smirk playing on his lips.
I just smiled up at him wondering how I was so lucky to be with a
guy like him right now, he was so much better than any of the
other guys I had dated, and although my fiance was the sweetest
person ever, I just didn't have sparks with him like I did
with Sam.
"Come on, I'm gonna take you to where we can get a
better view" Sam said tugging me back to the jeep. We were
now out of sight of the river and we were traveling up a big
hill, finally we got to the top, and I was blown away by an
astonishing view. We were on one of the bluffs overlooking the
river and the rainforest, It wasn't one of the huge bluffs,
and looking at the long rope tied to a tree on the edge I knew
why Sam had chosen this bluff, we were going to swing off
the rope into the river!
I watched Sam as he got out and came around to open my door.
"You don't really expect me to do this do you?"
"Do what? I just wanted to walk to the edge and look at the
scenery" Sam said lifting me out of the Jeep and setting me
back down on the ground. He held out his hand and we started to
walk toward the edge, I slowly inhaled the fresh air, and looked
out at the sparkeling river. There was no where else I'd
rather be than with Sam, here in this moment right now.
