Double Dare
Chapter 11
Lou's P.O.V
We were on top of the skyscraper, getting harnessed with safety
gear. I was absolutely terrified, but I was also bubbling with
anticipation. Sam was telling all of the steps, I was fixing to
jump, and I was petrified. I felt tears starting to form in my
eyes, but I blinked them back, Sam took hold of my hand an gave
me a gentle squeeze, while giving me a nod to go. I inched closer
to the edge, and Sam was right beside me to cheer me
on.
"Okay I'm going" I said letting go of Sam's
hand, but instead of jumping I grasped the back of Sam's neck
and kissed him passionately, before he could say anything I waved
goodbye and ran and jumped.
I felt the ground escape from underneath me, my breath was
knocked out of me and all I could do was close my eyes and
scream. I felt the wind rushing past me. It was then that I
realized I was flying, not technically , but to me I was flying,
I eased open my eyes, and suddenly it wasn't scary anymore,
It was amazing, it was a rush, almost nothing could describe it,
I squealed with delight as I flew back up in the air. I stopped
in mid-air and then, my body began to fly back down.
"Holllyyy mottthhheerr!!!" I screamed.
The wind rushed through my hair and my veins pumped with
adrenaline, it was so exhilerating.
After I was done I came back to the top of the building, and
looked at Sam with pure excitement,
"That. Was. Amazing!!" I squealed
" I know, just watching you was fun" he said smiling.
" I knew exactly how you felt, at first it was terrifying,
and then you feel the wind and you start to open your eyes and
you realize that it isn't so scary, and that you are
just..."
"Flying..." I said finishing his sentence.
"Exactly" he said smiling down at me, his green eyes
almost twinkling.
"I want to go again!" I said still feeling the rush
from the last time, " And I want you to come with
me!"
"Okay, lets harness back up!" he smiled.
After getting harnessed, we both stood at the edge looking
down.
Sam held out his hand and smiled at me "Ready"
I grabbed his hand, "Set!"
"Gooooooo!" We both screamed jumping off.
I opened my eyes to see Sam watching me scream with excitement,
we were still holding hands, and it all felt so right, just me
and him together, that was all I wanted. I looked at his green
orbs and began to giggle, we both threw our free hands up and
started to scream thrilled as wind rushed past us, it was
amazing. And by the look on Sam's face, I knew he thought so
too.
