She slings her backpack over her shoulder and prepares for another day.
As she approaches and greets her peers they blatantly walk away.
Confused and puzzled she gets her books and heads to her first class.
As she takes her seat they all begin to laugh.
She feels eyes blazing through her so she keeps her head down,
too frightened to answer a question, too frightened to make a sound.
She darts down the halls carefully to stay out of anyone’s way.
Even though they whisper she can hear the words they say.
She sits alone at lunch as the hurtful words buzz by.
She tries to hold back the tears, but she can’t help but cry.
She hears the words, she sees the looks,
she gets tripped and drops all her books.
No one seems to help even though they see her being pushed and shoved until she falls.
How could someone be a bystander and not care much at all?

(Mine... made this about my bullying story.. and honestly this is why I joined Witty)
