With Time, We
Fall
Chapter
Nineteen
Troy
Addison
started to walk backwards, crashing into me.
She started to fall but I caught her, she didn't try to
stand.
"Anthony" He voice was full of anger "How could
you?"
Her eyes became glossy, she was holding back tears.
She pushed herself off me violently and stormed into her brothers
room.
I stood awkwardly in Addisons room, with her brother still in the
door frame.
"Should I, leave?" I asked hesitantly
"We'll see how this goes." Anthony replied, like
what he did wasn't even a problem.
"Why'd you," I paused and looked at Anthony
"Uh, you know.. with your sisters best friend?"
Anthony laughed "I don't know. Pretty sure Jenna's
always had a crush on me... it was a matter of time."
I laughed through a quick puff of air out of my nose "Thats
messed up man, especially since she's your little
sister"
Anthony looked to the ground, thinking I suppose.
I couldn't hear anything Addison or Jenna were saying,
but when Addison came back her eyes were red. She walked
straight into my arms, which I wrapped around her and held her
tight.
"Im sorry Addison. Guys are d/cks" I smiled hoping she
would too,
she did. "I figured that out on my own"
She sat on her bed, I climbed to where the bed met the wall and
sat.
"Can we talk about something else though?" She
asked
"Anything" I smiled again.
"Well, I still don't know much about you Troy.
Everything you told me, that one night was a joke. Tell me honest
things, please"
I laughed, "Okay. Well.. I'm Troy Johnson. I'm 16
years old and I really like this girl, her name is
Addison."
She blushed "I already know all that."
"I used to play football and baseball. My favorite color is
black, I have a dog, I live with my dad and older sister, what
else?"
"You don't play sports now?"
I sighed, I started to say that I couldn't, but I changed
what I was going to say "Not anymore. Too much school work,
and it got time consuming. Besides, if I did I wouldn't be
able to follow you around as much as I do"
Addison giggled "Okay, why is black your favorite color? Its
so dark."
"My dear Addison, you have so much to learn. It's not
dark, its crazy.
It's my favorite color because it isn't one at all.
Anything black is the absorption of all colors in the color
spectrum but it doesn't reflect any of them to us. Anything
black holds every color you can think of inside it, but you
don't see any of them."
Addison blinked a few times in confusion "Is absorption even
a word?"
"Proabably not but how smart did I sound?" I raised my
eyebrows
"You sounded like a nerd. Where did you learn
that?"
I paused, remebering who told me that.
"Just a boy I met at a family thing."
"Well thats, interesting"
Addison rolled her eyes and sighed.
She layed down and put her head on my lap
"Thanks Troy, for making me feel better."
"You too."
I mumbled,
she didn't hear.
