Dear Caleb,
I've been known to be short of words- you know this quite well
by now. But as I wrote this, I struggled with trying to
"summarize" everything that I wanted to
say.
When we first started going out, my friends and family noticed a
difference in my demeanor. I'd come home from school and my mom
would say, "You're smiling a lot, you must have had a good
day." My friends would ask how you're doing, and I'd
blush, grinning like an idiot as we talked. Well, nothing much has
changed. I still do all of this.
When I'm with you, it's like my world is in perfect
harmony. I could get lost in your eyes. You're an all-around
amazing guy- intelligent, sweet, funny, adorable... the list goes
on.
Okay, so your taste in music is a bit different from what I'm
used to. It's no secret that I wasn't a fan of it. Quick
story- I woke up one night from a nightmare. It was like something
out of a horror movie (it actually had some elements of a Haunting
in Connecticut), and I was in that state of
holy-crap-every-shadow-on-my-wall-is-out-to-kill-me, that
post-nightmare terror. Instead of turning on the light, I flipped
open my laptop, went to Youtube... and listened to (his favorite
band) and (another one of his favorites) for a good half an hour as
I calmed down. Yeah, that's one point for the dark si- er, the
country side.
Yeah, I've slowly (and a little painfully) developed a soft
spot for country music, as it reminds me of you.
But I still draw the line at Lady GaGa- she's catchy, but so,
so creepy.
All joking (I'm only half joking) aside, I just feel so blessed
to have you in my life. Happy one-year anniversary. I love
you.
Love,
Sierra
