She went to seventh
grade
she knew nobody in her class
except for a boy
who never talked to her
but she met a girl
and they became best friends
and on that first day
the girl saw a boy in her class
she didn't know his name
nothing about him
but she suddenly felt overwhelmed
because she loved him.
They never really talked
he had a girlfriend
the girl went to the Halloween dance
and impressed him in her costume
her friend introduced her and the boy she loved
to each other
they became friends
and in piano class
he asked her who she liked
and she almost said him
but she said the boy she knew from last year
and people found out
and she went along with it,
even though it was a lie.
After the Valentine's Dance,
she told him she loved him
he loved her back
and when he broke up with his girlfriend
she thought she'd have a chance
but he dated another girl
and she slashed at her wrists
for being so stupid
to think he actually loved her.
They stayed best friends
and always sat together at lunch
they'd spray paint the streets
and flirt constantly
and over the summer
his girlfriend broke up with him
so he asked the girl out
and she said yes.
