The Girl in the Blue Dress
Chapter 2

"The usual?" the handsome cafe boy asked with a smile.
"Yes, please" I stated quickly before trying to get to an empty table.  My hands were full of folders, bags, and my cell phone, which was buzzing.  I lost grip of it along with a few of the folders.  Papers flooded everywhere.  "Da/mmit" I said, getting to the floor to pick them up.
"Jeez Ally" The cafe boy, who always seemed to be working there, said.  He helped me to pick up all of my papers and handed me my coffee.
"Thank you, Jake" I said, giving him a quick squeese.
"Tough day?" He asked.  He took a seat next to me.
"Looks like you have a customer" I said, motioning to the counter.
"It's ok, Matt's got it, I'm on break" He said.  He watched me carefully placing the papers in the correct folders and into my bag.  "As I said, tough day?" He asked for a second time.
"Oh sorry, no I'm alright" I looked up to him and gave him a quick smile before arraging my folders again.
"Are you sure?" He asked, making eye contact with me.
"Yes! Now go enjoy your break!" I commanded. He slowly got up and walked into the back room.  I finally fixed myself and took a sip of my drink.  Cheap coffee just could not beat their homemade coffee.  It had been two years since I had my first with my dad.  It was just a habit I couldn't break.  I always visited between meetings for work, if not, everyday.  My phone buzzed again and I gathered my things, "bye, Jake", I waved to him.  He smiled and waved back.

"Hey Grandma..." She kissed my cheeck before I could even get my jacket off.
"Ally, you're so goregeous, I don't know why your mom wouldn't let you become a model"
"Awh, thanks Grammy" I said, giving her a hug.  We walked into the dining room where everyone was already helping themselves to food.
"Sorry I'm late guys, there was a lot of traffic" I said, pulling out my chair.
"At least you beat your brother" my mom said before she looked over at his setting that already had food on it.  My parents still treated him like a little kid.
"I'm here!" he said. He walked into the room with a girl.  My confused look met my grandfather's smirk.  "Ally, this is Megan."
"Hi" I said, she replied the same way.  I quickly learned she was quiet, just like how I was in highschool.  We washed the dishes and sat in the living room until my grandparents left. Megan left shortly, after a kiss from my brother.
*
"Beep, beep, beep" my alarm sounded on my nighstand. I rolled out of bed and into my bathroom.
"Hurry up Ally, you don't want to be late," my dad remindes me as he passes through the hallway. I would never be late, I loved my job and graduating highschool early helped me to persue it even sooner than I expected.  Honestly, I wasn't 100 percent sure if I wanted to do this for a living, but it was the first big thing I was offered.  It's very similar everyday, and I always wonder of what else I could be doing, but I couldn't back down now.  People were counting on me.
     "Ally..."
     "Almost ready!"
