Did you know that... #3
Popsicles were a mistake? In 1950 an eleven year old invented
Popsicles. How you ask? One day, the boy named Frank mixed up some
soda water powder and water together (that was a popular drink back
then). Frank left that mixture and a sturring stick outside on
the back porch that night. The tempeture dropped to a record low
that night. Frank woke up the next morning to find that his drink
has frozen over night. He thought it would be interesting to show
his friends at school that day. Frank didn't even know he had
invented one of the greatest-know frozen treats that day. Eighteen
years later, in 1923, Frank remembered his frozen treat. He then
began producing Epsicles (Epsicles was the name people called
Popsicles back then). Frank produced them in seven fruit
flavors. The name was later changed to Popsicle. One estimate says
that three million Popsicle frozen treats are sold every year. Now
there are more than thirty flavors to choose from. Some Popsicle
Industries say that "Taste-Tingling Orange" has been the
general favorite flavor through the years. And this, is how
Popsicles were created.
