chapter 2

*beep beep beep* my alarm clock woke me. "Ughhh." I croaked and smacked my alarm clock.
" get up lyss!! We can't be late!!" my mom yelled from down the hall. Yes, I'm lyss, short for alyssa, but I prefer lyss. Today was my cousins wedding. She is a distant cousin but its supposed to be big, considering one of her dads close friends is flying in from England. I met his friend when I was little, maybe 5 years old? But i don't remember much. He did have a son and daughter tho. I used to play with his son all the time, but the name totally slips my mind. Anyway, I hop out of bed and head straight to the bathroom. I do the regular girl stuff, ya know, brush my hair, teeth, and wash my face. I slip on my dress. It's strapless , blue laced dress and I have been waiting FOREVER to wear it. I then add makeup. I lightly brush my face with foundation and concealer. Light blue eye shadow To cover my top eye lid, then dark blue on the crease. Black eye liner and mascara on top and bottom. I add a bit of blush. More makeup then I usually wear, but it's a special occasion. I put on my silver high heels and add perfume. I let my long hair flow into its natural waves and add my jewelry. 
" honey, it's time to go!" my mom yells. I run over to my brothers room and barge right in. 
" NOAH!!!" I yell and hug him real tight. Me and noah are like best friends and he's always got my back.
"haha lyss please get off... Or I'll do this!!" he Yells and picks me up and hangs me up side down by my feet.
" Noah! I just did my hair and everything! Put me down!" I yell back and he sets me back on the ground. 
I help him tie his tie and fix his hair, then we walked down stairs.  " comeon guys get in the car!"my mom called, and we piled in. It was just me, my Brother and my mom. My dad left when I was just a little girl. 3 years old to be exact. 
" lyss, your uncles friend will be staying with us for the week. He is a really close friend of mine also. He will be in the guest room and his son will either be on the couch or on the floor in your room. Is that alright?" my mom Asked. Ughh... I dont really know this kid but i didn't want to hurt my moms feelings. 
" of course mom! That sounds fun." I replied. We soon showed up to The wedding and I was introduced to my uncles friend. He gave me a quick hug when his son soon arrived. 
" sorry I'm late, i forgot my phone in the..." he trailed off. I was standing in front of a curly haired, emerald eyed, gorgeous boy. And I knew exactly who he was.
