Married in High School? - Chapter Sixteen

I got into Jesse's car, with a little prodding from him. Sitting down with a huff, I took my phone out of my bag, and texted Collin, letting him know we wouldn't be meeting for lunch.

"Can you do anything without letting him know?" Jesse said bitterly.

"For your information, I had a lunch date with him. I had to let him know that I wasn't blowing him off." I shot back.

"Sorry I ruined your lunch time plans with lover boy," he muttered.

"What did you just say?"

"I bet you heard me."

"Where the hell are we going? Some warehouse to deal drugs?"

"Oh, how original." he snorted, laughing at me. "You don't think I've heard that one before? People come up to me all the time asking what the rate of weed is these days. The cops make monthly visits to me to 'check up' on things. Just because Ian was like that doesn't mean I am," he shook his head before continuing. "I'm not a drug dealer, I don't even do drugs.
