You know what?
 I'm tired of people telling me I'm smart because I'm Asian.  I'm smart because I'm me.  I worked for it ever since I was little.  I'm tired of being reminded every day at how I'm Asian.  How I'm different from everyone.  I'm tired of the jokes and the stupid, ignorant comments.  I just want people to see me for me.  Why is that so difficult?

I agree with you, although I haven't been in that experience specifically. But your race doesn't change how you think. Im a total goody-goody, but no one believes me, there reasoning is that Im a blonde. Its irritating when people think your looks are what make you who you are. You're smart because you work hard.
