Lauren's POV

'Hey! This is Emma I'm
sorry I can't get to the 
phone right now,
please leave a message
and I'll call you back.'

Yeah, right.
So immature.
I tried calling Brooke.
Answering machine.
How was I gonna get my friends back?
My phone buzzed.
I picked it up.
'Hey.'
David.
'Hey'
'Can I ask you something?'
'Shoot.'
'Do you wanna go to the
dance with me 'cause I'm popular,
or because you love me?'
At that point, I wasn't sure.
'I don't know.'
'Then, I don't know either.'
'Don't know what?'
'If I should go to prom with you, I'm thinking about
asking Brooke instead.'
I didn't text back.
Why did I want to 
go to prom with him?

What will I tell Brooke and Emma?
For all they know,
I've got the most popular guy 
going to prom with me.
