Chapter 3

Lauren's POV

I woke up the next day.
Saturday.
I wonder if Brooke and David's date went well.
I got dressed in casual clothing.
A blue Hollister shirt,
shorts, and my black TOMS.
The day slowly passed.
Then it was 5:00
David came by and picked me up.
"I went out to Applebee's with 
Emma earlier."
Great. So I'm the last one.
"How'd it go?"
"Terrible. She ate some bad shrimp and puked on me."
I couldn't help but laugh.
Well, 
now I don't have to worry about her.
"How'd it go with you and Brooke?"
"We had a lot of fun."
Crap.

We got to McDonald's
and ordered our food.

We had a lot of fun the next few hours.
That's right.
We stayed there until 11:30.
We would've stayed longer.
Until a worker told us to
"Get our butts out of here!"
Geez,
cranky.

We got back to my house 10 minutes later.
"I had alot of fun tonight." David said.
"Me, too."
"'Night."
"Goodnight."
"Do you do this again tomorrow?" he asked.
"Sure."

He drove away.
Then I realized,
I wasn't doing this to win.
I was doing it because,
I actually loved him.
