BURWELL -- The body of a 19-year-old Columbus man was recovered Friday at the Calamus Reservoir in central Nebraska.

The body of Richard Tucker was discovered at about 3 p.m. by the Burwell Dive Team, Garfield County Attorney Dale Crandall said.

Authorities said Tucker had been missing since about 12:30 p.m. Thursday when he jumped from his family's boat to swim to the beach.

Crandall said family members didn't see signs that Tucker was in any distress.

The reservoir and recreation area are seven miles northwest of Burwell.

The divers used sonar to search for the man Friday morning.

An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death, Crandall said.
