It was a normal monday, gloomy faces, and slamming lockers.
I walked into my first period class when i saw Ryan.
To my surprise he was sitting alone.
I looked to the other side of the room to see Mallery, her makeup covered face looking down at the desk.
I quickly walked over to Carter and set my books down.
"What's going on?" I asked anxiously.
"Mallery and Ryan, they broke up." He said sternly.
So many thoughts raced through my head.
I felt a slight smile come across my face,
I know it was mean of me, but for th first time in a while Ryan was single. The bell rang and class began.
Mr. Kridge walked in with a huge smile on his face.
"Good morning!" He practically shouted.
"Today we are going on a little trip!" Everyone cheered, and whispered in excitement.
"We are going to Missle Creek!"
He added, everyone groaned.
Missle Creek was probably the most disgusting
creek in the whole town, which made me realize why Mr. Kridge picked it. "We will be collecting creek water,
and tomorrow we will look at it under the microscope!"
He was the only one who seemed the slightest bit excited. "Now class," he began, "everyone will be picking a partner to work on this project with."
He said calmly. "Now when I call your
name pick a slip of paper out of this hat,on each slip is a name, the name of your Missle creek partner!"
 Everyone groaned. Several people went up to pick out of the hat, and finally it was my turn.
I walked up to Mr. Kridge and stuck my hand into the hat and mixed around the papers,
I slowly pulled one out, and unrolled the tiny paper,
i began to read the name out loud.
"Ryan Goldberg."
