A Day In My Life

I hide my tears
behind a smile,
knowing I can't have him,
not now, not in a while.
You ask me how I am
I say "I'm okay"
but that's huge lie.
I tell it day after day.
He doesn't want me,
I really can tell.
I act like I don't care,
but inside I scream and yell.
I feel trapped every day,
I want to end it with a knife.
Well there's your inside glimpse
of a day in my life.
