Until I Met You
 
(Chapter 2)




"I'm home, mom." I yell as I step through the door.
"Okay." She replies.
I check my phone....3 messages from Max.


1. so sorry Shay.

2. I'm sorry I couldn't make it.

3. Shay? Please answer! :(


I text him back, then run up the stairs to my bedroom, skipping every other step.  I stand in front of my bed, and put me arms out, then I let myself fall backwards into my warmness of my bed.
Wow, was he sweet.
STOP IT!
I'm dating Max.  He's all I should think about.  Not some guy that I met a half hour ago.
I change into my pajamas and lay in bed, leaning towards my lamp to turn it out.
I'm about to fall asleep whem my phone beeps.
1 New Text Message from Taylor.

hey. beach tomorrow. 12??



I text back:

okay. whose all going?



me, you, andrea, drake and cameron.




okay, ill b ther



Cameron is my ex boyfriend, we broke up because apprantly I wasn't hot enough for him and his friends.  I was everything I could be to him.  More than enough, now I'm dating Max.  Cameron doesn't like Max, because when Cameron and I broke up, Cameron left for 3 weeks.  I changed my look, so I look different than he remembers.  Since he came back 2 days ago, we're all meeting up tomorrow.  Drake and Taylor is going out with Drake, and Andrea doesn't have a boyfriend.
With my new haircut and new clothes, contacts, I look so different.  I've gained curves, and left that skinny mini body behind.  I wear make-up now, (I never used to) and I feel better about myself. 
I can't wait until he sees me, he's not going to believe it.

Now it's time to explain what Cameron looks like.
He has dark blonde hair and it's shaggy, he has tan skin that matches him perfectly, and to top it off..muscles.  He's very attractive.  But no way am I admitting feelings for him.
Max is my love and it will stay that way.
Hopefully.
I sit up and cross my leg, I put my hands under my legs to warm them.  I turn the television on in front of me.  Oh, and I have an older brother in college. Everybody tells me I look like him, but I just don't see it.  My Father died in a car accident 3 years ago, it was sad and devastating, but we got through it.  I still miss him a lot, though.  He told me when I was 8 that a star would one day fall into my eyes and my eyes would be bright.  I remember the story:

"Dad, does it hurt when they fall in our eyes?"

"Only if you close your eyes." His warm voice was low to a whisper.

I look at the stars, the night sky above us, "Can I catch one?"

"Well, sure you can, love." He always loves how British accents say love.

"I love you, Daddy."

"I love you forever, Shay."
