I walked into class, in what
felt like a daze. How did i get into this? Oh yeah,
i slammed some random kid with my car, and it just
so happened to be the best looking guy i had ever
seen, and not to mention he had the best
personality... and a killer music taste. it all
seemed to good. i glanced at the teenagers sitting
around, and i picked out a few faces from previous
years. people shot me rude glances, and whispered
to their friends. "oh my god, look at her
hair." and "whats wrong with her
eyes?" i had grown to ignore comments like
these, so i grabbed a desk near the back of the
room and took a seat. i felt something in my
pocket, and i dug it out. Peter's phone laid in
my hands. "Oh no." i muttered as i looked
at how much damage was actually done. his phone was
completely in 2 halves, the screen was shattered,
and the paint was chipped on one side. the battery
was still intact. i thought about what to do.
emediatly i had an idea.
---
The lunc bell rang, and kids rushed from the
classrooms and billowed into the crowded hallways
towards the cafateria or the parking lot. i ran as
fast as i could to my car and hopped inside.
Peter's lunch meet was going to have to wait
for a day. i sped down the road to the nearest
Verizon store, and went inside. the little door
chime went off, and a store's clerk came over.
"Ma'am what may i help you with
today?" "Yes, hi, i need a new
phone." i told her as i held out Peter's
old phone. "Well, i will see what i can do for
you." She took the broken phone into the back
room and came back with a box. "Here, this is
a brand new phone of the same kind." i let out
a sigh of relief. "can you sync all of the
information onto the new one while i'm
here?" She smiled. "Sure thing, easy as
pie." i purchased the new phone and carefully
slid it into my pocket. "Thanks again." i
shot back into the store as i walked through the
exit." i got back into my car. "good, i
have just enough time to get back and not be late
for Health class."
---
i made sure i was the first one into Health, and i
approached the teacher. "Hi, i'm Thalia;
can you please tell me where Peter is going to
sit?" He glanced at his list. "Peter
Galiger? he is going to be sitting at desk number
14," he told me as he glanced towards the left
of the room. "thank you," i replied as i
set the 2 phones onto the hard wood desk.
"Thalia, you can take seat number 28"
said the teacher. i sat down just as students were
coming into the class room. Then i saw
him.
