Just a Dream
Prolouge
Racing
through the woods, my heart pounded, the cold mist hit my
face.
I tripped on a tree root, my body collapsed,
my head hitting the hard wet ground. My eye lids
flickered open to realize i was in the safty of my warm
bed. I sighed im relief, "It was just a
dream."
I mumbled, still panting in fear. I rolled out of bed,
and looked at the clock. I was late, again. I ran to my
closet
ripping a shirt off the hanger,
and wiggled into my skinny jeans. I ran to my mirror to
see a bruise on my forhead. "Not again." I had
been waking up with bruises ever since I could
remember.
Atleast i had makeup to cover it up. I applied my
black eyeliner, and mascara. I began to lightly cover up
the bruise on my head with concealer, it hurt.
I raced downstairs to find an empty kitchen. It
wasn't a surprise to me, my mom usually stayed in bed
all day. Ever since my dad left when I was 10 she had
never been the same. But now i was sixteen. I have my own
car,
and I don't need her to take care of me anymore.
I was basically a normal teenage girl, I had been through
heart breaks, drama, and pain,
but through it all one boy stayed by my side.
My best friend Carter. We had been friends since
the first grade, when he shared his crayons with me.
I wasn't the richest girl on the block, my mom had a
job, which she rarely showed up to, but other than that,
yeah, I guess you could say i was a normal teenage girl,
or so I thought.
