ok girls this topic is about depression

now some of you girls may say that isnt me. it wouldnt be you
or maybe some of you may say...well would that be me?

well it is rather hard to diagnose depression in yourself, even some profesionals find it hard to diagnose.

i would like you to see something
these are some symptoms if you would like so see if you have it

- feeling hopeless, like there's nothing to look forward to;

- not be interested in anything, because nothing seems fun anymore;

- having no energy;

- crying and not know why your crying;

- feeling lonely or unloved;

- not wanting to be with other people;

- feeling anxious, grumpy or bad tempered;

- feeling empty or numb;

- wanting to do nothing but sleep, or be unable to sleep;

- geting headaches or stomach aches;

- not eating and losing weight, or eating much more than usual;

- being reckless or take unnecessary risks;

- useing more, or starting to use, drugs, including alcohol or tobacco;

- thinking of death or suicide.

girls these are some symptoms
this is a serious condition and if you have some of these, i would like to either contact me or tell your parents or friends or a trusted adult. i know this is hard. i have had it...i still do but im getting over it.

Depression can happen for several reasons:

- sometimes there is a genetic risk for depression (other people in the family may have had it);

- sometimes there is a trigger, a stressful event or chain of events, like a family break-up, child abuse, ongoing bullying at school, the death of a friend or family member, a relationship break-up, family conflict, sexual abuse, or several of these things happening close together;

- some women become depressed after they have a baby (post natal depression);

- sometimes it is not clear what has triggered depression
