If he truly cares, which he clearly does because he stood up for you, then he will most likely have the brains to ask you if what she says is true if she says anything. That and he won't care about she says, he'll believe you over her.

If he was sticking up for you, he obviously cares about you, so why should he believe something that someone else tells him? Just tell him firmly that it isn't true.
