-crystal clear-

 if you've ever been under water you will understand me perfectly.
the moment of silence.of twirling your hand through the yellowish water. 
the moment when the noise come rushing back and the silence is gone and you have to breath. thats my least favorite part.i reach my hand out in front of me. the small particles of pollen spin in the water around my hand.i point my hand down to the old dark water below and with a flicker of motion i dive.down to the sandy bottom. i swim against the rough sand then push my hands of the bottom and shoot upwards. i resurface and feel the air fill my lungs again.my dad cheers and my brother daniel looks down at his watch.
"wow 5 minutes thats a new record" i smile i know i can hold my breath for longer.i swim over to the edge of the dock and pull myself up. i dry my face with a towel."c'mon aqua we dont want to miss the game" my dad says smiling.he's always smiling."ooh nachos" my brother says excitedly"haha thats my boy,aqua do you mind if we stop in town before we go home" my dad asks"ya no problem" i reply.

we all pile into my dads pickup truck. i sit in the front with my legs propped up on the dashboard.my brother sits in the back of the truck sitting on a milkcrate and gripping the sides of the old rusty truck. he gives a thumbs up and my dad starts the car. we get to town in under 5 minutes. thats one of the good things about living in a small town you never have to drive far to get where you want to go .

my dad and daniel pile into the store to get nacho's . i rest my head against the headrest. breathing in the cool air."hey ,aqua" i almost jump ou of my skin. kevin always has a way of creeping up on you like that "hey kev,whats up" he is standing right outside the window. he has bright green eyes and sandy blonde hair. he is tall and seems to always have a smile on his face. he has been my best friend since the 6th grade. "are you going to   kims party later?" "i dont think so" i reply. he seems let down "c'mon aqua you cant spend all your time in the water you know, you should go out do normal 16  year old girl things" "wow kev when did you turn into my dad, and actually i can spend all my time in the water and thats just what i plan to do" i cross my arms for emphasis.he raises his eyebrows in his michievious way. we look at eachother for a long time i start to wonder if its a staring contest or something. i hear my dad walk out of the store with daniel."hey kevin" he says. "hello mr.williams" my dad has always liked kevin.
"you going to see the game tonight" daniels asks him."no actually me and aqua are going to a party tonight with some kids from school" i whip my head around to look at kevin spraying my dad in the face with water from my hair. i glare at kevin. he knows the only thing i hat more that partys is football."isnt that right aqua" he says smiling "yes" i mumble. "great! see you tonight " he drops an envelope onto my lap with the party info.
"ya see you then i say weakly"
