chapter twenty six

"C'mon Kylie!" Niall said, jumping around strangely, in a manner I refer to as his 'excited' dance. It's really just releasing nervous energy.
"Gah, wait!" I said, putting on eyeliner, "This would've been easier if you just told me where we're going!"
"Ah, yes" He nodded, "But what would be the fun in that?"
I flipped him off, and he laughed at me.
He dragged me out to his car, and I slipped into the passanger seat. I turned up the radio, and we sang along to Rihanna.
Then I heard, "You're insecure, don't know what for.."
Me and Niall looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"You know I heard the blonde boy in the band that sings this is really sexy" He commented.
"You heard wrong" I insisted.
He opened his mouth and frowned at me.
"Take it back" He demanded.
"Nope!" I laughed. He glared at me and flipped the radio station.
"Did you just turn off your own song, Niall Horan?" I said in disbelief.
"Yes, yes I did" He nodded.
Weird boy.
"I'm blindfolding you" He said, and tied a piece of fabric over my eyes.
"Seriously?" I asked. He didn't answer, but I heard him laughing. Asssshole.
He took my hand and guided me out of the car. He tried to lead me, but I kept stumbling.
"Why can't you walk properly!?" He teased, and swept me into his arms.
When he took my blindfold off, i was stunned. The night sky was lit up with millions of stars, so much clearer than I've ever seen them from London. Explains the long drive.
"It's so beautiful Niall" I said, stunned.
"So are you" He said automatically.
"So cheesey" I teased.
"It was cute" He insisted.
I nodded and let him pull me to sit next to him.
"Thank you" I said, turning to face him.
"For what?" He asked, face crinkled in confusion.
"For teaching me how to love again" I explained.
"I should really be thanking you" He said.
"Why?" I tilted my head slightly.
"For being you" He shrugged, "Moments spent with you are my favorite ones"
"I love you Niall" I said softly.
"I love you too" He said, staring into my eyes.
He cupped my face, and pulled it towards his.
And I'm so thankful for the path that lead me straight to Niall.
These moments taught me to trust, and to love.
