Chapter
4: The calming swoosh noises of the
ocean waves kept me awake. I felt something start to roll down my
brow. I wiped my forehead. It was all sweat. Trevor ran back with a
see through crystal glass with water in it, and two Advil. I
chugged down the water and swallowed the medicine. Trevor ran out the door, I guess
to get the nurse, and Blake sat beside me. I grabbed his hand, and
he kissed my forehead. He whispered something in my ear. I strained
to hear but as I did, everything went white. My vision at first
became blurry, and then brightness came. I closed my eyes, and
tried to scream from the excruciating pain but nothing
came.
After about five miserable seconds of pain, it started to fade
away. I then saw a small, speck of light. I tried to reach for it
and was sucked into an amazing dream. I was in a red corvette,
headed to the movies. The bright lights were dancing around
overhead. They were all advertisements. Then a pain started throbbing
through my head. It was almost like someone had smacked me in the
head with something hard, and I woke up gasping for air. “She had a..” the
nurse, Kelly began. She stopped when she saw me open my eyes.
Trevor ran to the bed, and kissed my hand. “What
happened?” I asked. “You had a panic attack and
passed out. We tried to put you on a stretcher. We thought you were
having a stroke. You started kicking. Like nonstop, insane kicking
and then you fell off the stretcher, and hit your head.” He
said. “I’ve had panic
attacks my whole life.. That was no panic attack!” I
screamed, crying. Blake wiped the black goop of mascara running
down my cheek. “Don’t worry. You’re going to be
fine.. I promise” he said, running his finger through my dark
brown hair.
