24
I shake my head and
start to cry.
"What if he doesn't want another kid? What if he leaves
me? Wh-what if-" I start.
Charlie whacks my shoulder.
"Stop it Ari. You know he loves you. He obviously was aware
that he wasn't using a... condom and he knew what he was
doing. Maybe that's why he wanted to move, so there would be
more room for the baby." she snaps.
I nod. "Thanks Char... but, but what if I'm not
ready?" I whisper.
She smiles and hugs me. "You're ready. I
promise."
I laugh. "We should get back home now. It's already
2." I remind her.
She nods, and we grab all of our bags, and get in the car.
We talk and laugh, catching up on a few things.
"Are you and Matt getting pretty serious?" I ask.
She nods and beams. "I love him a lot Ari. He's the one,
I just know it." she whispers. I smile.
When I open the door to the house, I drop all my bags on the
ground and sprint to the bathroom. I come back out a minute
later.
"I was holding that the whole time!" I groan and we
laugh. We hear Sam open the garage door.
"I'll go now boo. Don't worry. He's ready.
You're ready. I'll call you later. Love you!" she
whispers, hugs me, and runs out the door and drives away.
I take a deep breath, and Sam walks in.
