23: PART 2
Yep. A bear, a big one aswell. The large powerful
mammals with thick shaggy fur stared at me. I think it was a
spectacled bear, the ones you would mainly find here, in South
America.
My eyes widened and then I let out a scream. “DYLAN! DYLAN!
LOOK BEHIND YOU!” My voice was loud and clear and scared. I
was scared. More scared than I heard Josh dying, and Martha being
shot, or seeing dead Nick lying on the bathroom floor.
Dylan turned around, and then gasped himself. The horror on his
face, and then he turned before quickly running towards me. "Lets
go," He grabbed my hand and then made me run along with him.
I was screaming, my mind was blank and my intentions were
hopeless; but my body was obeying Dylan's commands, and I was
sprinting along with him.
"OH FU*K! SH*T! CR*P!" Dylan yelled, and then he ran a bit faster
when we heard the growling roar of the bear behind us.
Did the spectacled bear think we were a danger to it? People are
attacked by these bears when they think we are a danger to them,
but in other cases, they are harmless. "A little faster," Dylan
whispered to me.
I closed my eyes, and then opened it again to see we were making
an exit? "Oh my god," I slowed down along with Dylan, as we
figured we were standing outside my house? "No..No..No," I
whispered, again and again and then let out a scream of joy.
Dylan was surprised himself, and then let out a laugh. "We...made
it?" He paused, and then made a sour face while turning to face
me. "I told you we were going the right way," He chuckled at his
words.
I rolled my eyes, and then looked back at my house, remembering
Nick, and his body. "Oh god," I whispered, and
then ran to the door. I wanted to get inside. Safe and
Sound.
Dylan was right behind my trail as I slowly walked to the
kitchen, only to find some strange happening. Nick's body was
gone? I shook my head, in disbelief. "Nick.." I whispered, and
then started to search the living room for the body.
Dylan came into the living as well, shouting his brother's name.
"Brett? Brrreeet!?" He raised his eyebrow at me. "What're you
looking for?" He asked, running his hands through his hair.
"Nick,"
"The dead man," Dylan snorted, taking a seat on the sofa. "I'm
trying to find my alive brother Brett," His eyes observed the
room. "The house looks a bit...messier?" He whispered, getting up
and frowning at the furniture. "This place looks trashed,"
After hearing Dylan, I stopped looking behind the couch; my
thoughts were that maybe Brett might have taken the body and put
it behind the sofa or something, but now they were different.
Brett...? Where was Brett? "When you were following me..?" I
tried to get Dylan's attention, which was pretty easy, because he
was staring at me.
"Yeah?" He was curious.
"Where was Brett when you were coming after me into the forest?"
I asked. There was something bothering me about Brett. Was he
even a good guy?
Dylan frowned, and then he narrowed his eyes. "Brett...was.." He
paused. "I think he was telling to me run after you..and then..."
Another pause. "I think..he went back in the house? Arhhh.."
Dylan clutching his head, and then calmed down. "I don't know, I
was only thinking about getting to you, and catching up to you; I
don't know what Brett was upto?"
My eyes fell to the gaze of the floor. Things went silent after
that. It seemed as if we were both thinking what happened to
Brett, and the disappearance of Nick's body. Could those two be
related somehow?
"I think I know what happened," Dylan's voice interrupted my
thoughts.
I squinted my eyes at him. "What?" My tone was curious but upset.
I wanted to know what happened when me and Dylan weren't here.
What did Brett do?
"Dad," Dylan paused, thinking I may have understood everything by
now, with that one word. Dad? Sirois Mandeth.
It all made sense.
Brett doesn't like me anyway. He always tried his best to get rid
of me, and Nick's crew. He was more of a daddy's boy. He never
wanted Josh alive that day, when I heard Josh's screams and was
told he was dead.
There was always a part of me that told me that Josh
might be alive. Because I didn't see Josh die,
or see his dead body. What if Brett lied to me, when he told me
that Josh is dead?
My brain was starting to hurt. What if Brett took Nick's body to
his dad's---erh..I mean, Sirois Mandeth's place when me and Dylan
weren't in this house, but at the forest?
Dylan looked at me, as if he clearly understood all my thoughts,
without me even saying anything. "Do you want to-?" I cut off his
words.
"Yes," I paused. "Take me to Sirois Mandeth's house,"
Sorry I didn't write for a whole 2-3 days. I'm
extremely sorry. My excuse?...Well...ermh...Does studying count?
lol xD I'm really sorry, and promise to write a chapter at least
once a day or once every 2 days or something.
One question? ♥
Do you guys want Josh
dead, or not?
Comment. And feedback would be nice,
beautiful(:
