I break away from Colt and look
over to who said that.
I roll my eyes, "Hi Lizzy"
"You do know Ive been standing here
for like 25 minutes"
She raises her eyebrows.
I look at my phone, "We've
only been at school for 15
minutes.."
"Oh hush, mind if I steal her?" She
asks Colt.
"Yes" Colt says sarcastically
"Good" Lizzy says leading me a few feet
away.
"What is it?" I ask
"Randall's looking for you"

*Colt's POV*
I lean against the locker, hands in my pockets as I
watch
Brogan's face as she talks to Lizzy.
She furrows her eyebrows in confusion and bites
her lip.
What could Lizzy be possibly be telling her? It's
only
the first day of school...
"Hey there" A girl leans across the lockers
right next to me.
I look over, but dont say anything.
"Im Amanda" She batts her eyelashes and
brings her face
close to mine. Her breath smells like she
overdosed on
mints, and I take a step back.
"You going to tell me your name or do I have
to guess?"
"Colt"
I admit that she is pretty, but nothing compared
to Brogan.
Brogan's flawless without trying, Amanda looks
like all
her beauty is in her 20 pounds of makeup.
Her brown hair is limp, and her outfit is way to
revealing.
She twirls her hair, "Cute accent, where you
from?"
"California"
She steps closer to me, "Adorable"
I take another step back.
"Say, do you need any help finding
your way around?"
"No, my girlfriends going to help me" I
throw at her.
"Bummer. If you need anything just
call," she hands me
her number.
"I dont think I'll-" I start to say
before I get interupted.
"Hey Amanda, how are you?"
Brogan says harshly
"Fabulous, this your new boy toy?"
"This is Colt, my boyfriend" Brogan
replies, wrapping her hands
around my arm, "And we were just
leaving"
Amanda scowls, "Just like you left California with
a new trophy?"
"Have a nice life" Brogan calls over her
shoulder as
we walk away.
Once we reach her locker, Brogan turns to me and
raises
her eyebrows.
"What?" I ask.
She shakes her head silently and her red hair
sways.
Im tempted to reach out and play with it,
but my arms remain
at my side.
"You dont realize how many girls have been eyeing
you?"
"No... Im only paying attention to
you"
"Aw" she taps my nose.
"So do you realize how many boys are falling over
you?"
She snorts, "Yeah right"
"Have you looked in the
mirror today?" I say, gesturing to
her whole body.
Brogan's face turns red, "Yes, stop checking
me out"
I wrap my arms around her waist, "Or
what?"
She kisses me quickly, "Or no more
kisses"
Brogan wriggles out from my grip and picks up her
bookbag.
"Now come walk me to the class silly
boy" She says, holding
out her hand.
I take it quickly, entertwining our fingers together as
if they
were never meant to be separated in the first
place.
