Clique Wars.
**Sequel to Mascara.**
Chapter 28
All of us girls gathered in the backyard near a flower covered arch, waiting for the guys to show up so we could take couple pictures.
While we waited, we decided to start on the singles.
We all took turns posing next to the arch way.
It looked beautiful in the background.
As Avery's mom began to take my picture, all the guys jumped out of the bushes from behind me.
"Oh my god!" I shreiked at the top of my lungs, terrified.
Almost bursting out into tears.
I wasn't good with being scared, and they all knew that.
I quickly caught my breath though, making sure my eyes didn't water and smear my makeup.
I slightly punched Josh in the shoulder, but he didn't even flinch.
He sat staring at me with a mezmorized, blank look on his face.
"What?"  I stuttered nervously.
Did I have something on my face?
"Emma, you look beautiful." He said in awe.
I smiled, as I felt my cheeks turning red.
"Thanks." I blushed shyly.  "And you look very handsome." I smiled up at him.
"Thanks." He muttered, trying to avoid the fact that he was wearing a suit.
He hated suits, but I thought he looked really cute in it.
We stood and watched all the other couples get their pictures taken, patiently waiting for our turn.
"Emma!  Josh!"  Avery's mom exclaimed, calling us over.
We placed our selves under the arch way, and Josh wrapped his hands around me from behind, pulling me in close.
His warm body pressed up against mine, and I could feel his soft breath brushing against my cheek.
"Smile!" Avery's mom announced, snapping the picture.
We did several other poses too.
One of us staring into each other's eyes, one of us where Josh was carrying me bridal style, and another of us kissing.
The last one was my favorite.
Avery's mom took dozens of pictures, but I knew she didn't mind.
She had a career as a photographer.
"Get a room!" Trevor yelled out, as we finished our kissing photo.
Josh flipped him off.
I just smiled and laughed.
After we finished couple pictures, we took group pictures.
One of just the girls, another of just the guys, then a full group picture.
The guy's picture took the longest, being that none of them wanted to cooperate for a decent picture.
We finally finished taking pictures, and headed back out front to load into the limo.
I had to admit, it wasn't all that big of a limo, so we had to squeeze.
I was okay with that, though.
I ended up having to sit on Josh's lap, and i'm sure he didn't mind either.
Although the limo lacked in size, the interior made up for it.
It had black leather seats, a mini fridge, and even a small flat screen TV.
"Have fun!"  Avery's mom shouted, waving to us as we pulled out of the driveway.
"Okay guys!" Avery announced, quieting everybody down.
We all gave her our undevided attention.
She then continued.
"Just in case anything would happen tonight," she started.  "I want you all to give your girlfriend or boyfriend a kiss, right know."  She said sternly.
I exchanged confused glances with Alaina.
Why was she making us do this?
Not that I didn't want to kiss Josh, but I started to get a bad feeling about tonight.
Was Avery planning on something bad happening between some of us?
Did she know something that the rest of us didn't?
Josh gave me a sweet kiss on the lips, but I couldn't seem to focus.
I was nervous.
I was scared.
Or maybe I was just over thinking all of this?
Maybe what she said meant nothing, I tried to reassure myself.
I sat quietly the rest of the way there, running Avery's words through my head over and over again.
"Are you okay, Emma?" Josh asked me multiple times.
I just kept smiling, and telling him I was fine.
But everything was far from fine.
I could feel it, something was wrong.
Something was very, very wrong.
