Rescue Me

Chapter 33
Noelle's POV

"Nooo!" everybody was laughing as my mom finished another embarrassing story about me.  I slouched down farther in the couch and hid my face.  Zayn's warm hand took mine though, I looked up at him and he smiled, I couldn't help but smile back.  He laughed when I sat back up and put his arm around my shoulders, I grabbed his hand and we sat there for a minute or so before we went into another story, this one about Louis.  It's been three hours so far and nothing totally bad has happened - that's weird - but I'll go with it.  After introducing everyone to each other we sat down and haven't moved since.  I'm really glad my mom likes the boys, Eleanor and Danielle, I'm really happy that my mom absolutely loves Zayn.  I was worried because if she didn't like him, I don't think I could continue the relationship - my mom means too much to me.  But on the other hand I don't want to lose Zayn, he's amazing, and I don't want to say 'I love him.' because I don't, but I think there is a potential to say 'I love him.' in the future.

"Okay, sorry babe, but I'm going to have to embarrass you one last time today." Julia laughed, rolling off of Niall's shoulder to sit up straight.  "Oh, nooo.  What now?" I asked, almost scared, Julia's my best friend . . . she has a lot of stories.  "I'm leaving, and so are you two, let the big kids talk for a while." I laughed as my little sisters pouted and walked up the stairs with my mom.  "Okay, so last year, we were at a party, right?  So, most of the party's we go to have a lot of beer.  So, I'll drink, but I'm always the designated driver so I don't drink that much." Oh, Gosh, this story . . . this story isn't that humiliating.  "But this chicky, when she drinks, she drinks.  So I'm sitting there talking to some other people and she walks up, obviously drunk out of her mind.  She falls, stands back up and claims she's okay, then she goes to walk away but I asked 'What did you want?' she turned around and laughed.  She said - keep in mind that she was talking in a baby voice - 'It's nothing, you're fine, you otayyy.' then I said, 'Why wouldn't I be . . . otay?'  and she was like, 'I thought the goosy was gonna come up her, and kill you, but it otay, he's not - he's not here.' and she started laughing!  So I was like, 'What goose?" and she was like, 'Nooo, a goosy!' trying to say 'a baby goose'  'he was telling me.  that he hate you, and I was like Nooooo, no, no, noo goosy we - we looove Julia.  Julia is a good, good friend, we love her it's fine.  But no, he was twying to kill you, but like I say, it otay.  I save you.'" everyone started laughing.  "So I decided it was time to go home."

A little later my mom came down and Julia called her, "Ms. Collin's.  It's a goosy!" Julia smiled.  "Ha!  Did you just tell that story?"  "Yeah."  "Oh my gosh, that was a good night." my mom said laughing and walked out of the room again.  I buried my face into Zayn's chest while everyone laughed.  "You're mom knows you drink?" Harry asked.  "Yeah, she's chill 'cause she used to drink when she was my age, so she just doesn't care as long as I'm safe."  "That's nice, goosy!" he laughed and made everyone else burst into laughter.  I buried my face again, but Zayn tilted my chin up and kissed me and I laughed it off.
