Everything Happens for a
Reason
Chapter 23

Damien's Point of
View
It's
tough watching the person you love walk out of your life
completely. It's hard knowing that nothing you do could
change what has already happened in that past. She just
walked away from me, and I already miss her. I needed to get
her back in my life. The question is...how would I do it? I
went home and that night I thought about how I would get back
my girl.
When it finally came to me, I decided to get some sleep.

Audrey's Point of
View
I tell
myself that I'll be okay, and that everything happens for
a reason, but I'm freaking torn into a million tiny
pieces. I'm slowly dying inside, but I cover it up with a
big fat smile. I tell myself that if it was meant to work out
between Damien and I, then it would have, and he never would
have cheated on me in the first place. I try to make myself
feel better by listening to all the garbage people tell me
about breakups. DOES IT HELP? No, it doesn't. Nothing
will help me, but being with Damien. But we can't be
together anymore. Right? You don't go back to someone who
cheated on you...It's not healthy. I feel so empty
without him. So lifeless. Not even my best friend can make it
better. She has her own boyfriend that she's completely
head over heels for. Besides, I didn't want to depress
her with my sad stories and my crying all the time. I
guess I have to start looking for someone else, someone who
can care about me. Or just someone who can take my mind off
of Damien. I concluded that that was the best thing for me to
do right now, and tomorrow that's exactly what I'd
do.

When I woke up the next morning, I dressed in a cute dress,
straightened my hair to perfection, put on makeup, and left
the house to meet up with Arianna. When I met up with her she
told me I looked gorgeous, and I thanked her. As soon as we
walked into the school, I could feel the stares from a group
of guys near by. I knew they were looking at me, so I waved
and winked at them. One of the guys with some his
encouragement from his friends, stepped away from the group
and walked over to me. He flipped his shaggy brown hair away
from his face, revealing his sea green eyes. Wow, he was
gorgeous.
"Hey, Audrey" the boy said cooly
"I'm so sorry, but I don't think we've met,
what's your name?"
"No problem, it's Connor. by the way." he said
with an added smile that highlighted his grecian facial
features.
"Well then, Hi Connor" I said with a little
giggle
He rubbed the back of his neck nervously before talking and
when he finally did, he said "Would you like to go to a
movie or something with me tomorrow night?"
"That sounds great" I said and smiled at him
"Okay, so I'll pick you up at 7?"
"Sure. " I replied and then scribbled my number on
his arm.
"So where's your first class?"
"Umm...third floor, room 326."
"Would you mind if I walked you there?"
"Of course not. let's go" I grinned
His hand kept bumping into mine, so I decided to take it and
intertwine my fingers with his. When I did that, he looked up
at me and smiled, and I flashed him my best smile back.
When we arrived at the door of my Chem class, he stood
infront of me and I said "Thanks for walking
me"
"Any time, really" he smiled
I let go of his hand and right as I was about to go into the
class he said "Don't I get a hug?"
I laughed and hugged him.
"Better?"
"Much better." he winked and left me standing
infront of my class grinning like the biggest idiot.
From the corner of my eye I saw Damien. Was he watching
Connor and I this whole time? The angry look on his face
answered my question, and before I knew it, he was
marching over to me. ..
