Chapter 8,

group of boys came pushing me into the tree
house.
“Who the hell is this?” one boy
said grabbing me by my shirt.
“Lennon let go of her” Rocco said
looking worriedly.
“Who are these freaks?” I
hissed.
The boys grip got tighter, I felt my eyes
burn up and felt blood rushing to my face.
“Don’t hurt her” Rocco said
walking over to Lennon.
The 2 boys looked at me and went to sit down
near Rocco who edged away.
“Do you love her?” Lennon said
pushing me into the corner of the tree house.
“No” he said looking at me then
at Lennon, “Just don’t beat up a
girl”
“Her? A girl?” he
scoffed.
“Look just leave her alone” Rocco
said looking worried.
“You’re in a...” I said
before Lennon interrupted me.
“Shut up” he said grabbing his
bandana off his head.
“Or what?” I hissed but before I
could speak anymore he put the bandana over my
mouth.
I looked at Rocco who shrugged; I felt anger
fill my body.
“Look if you want to be in the gang
you’ve got to stay away from girls” Lennon
spat.
“Why?” Rocco asked in a low
voice, I could tell he was scared, “Look I’ve been in
this gang for 5 years”
“The rule of this gang, you either
choose the freak or come with us” Lennon said getting
something out his pocket, “Once you leave you cannot come
back”
He made is sound like a little kids
game.
I let out a laugh then 2 of the guys looked
at me seriously.
“You think this is funny” Lennon
said stepping next to me.
I shook my head and placed my hands on the
wooden floor that was probably full of
splinters.
“Good” he spat on
me.
I pulled a disgusted face and looked at
Rocco.
“Can I go?” I said looking into
Lennon’s green eyes.
“Not yet honey” he said, I looked
at Rocco who looked jealous and full of sorrow.
Just then Lennon came towards me and began
touching my breasts; I looked at him then kicked him where it
hurts.
“Feisty” he
smirked.
“Shut up” I said standing up in
the cramped tree house.
“So Rocco” he said stepping
towards him, “The girl or us?”
“Do I have to choose?” Rocco
sighed.
“You know you can’t have it both
ways the world doesn’t work that way” Lennon said,
“Boys stand beside me”
The two boys quickly went by the side of
Lennon.
“I choose the girl then” Rocco
said giving out a slanted smile.
“You know we’ll make your life
living hell” Lennon said smirking.
“I really don’t care” Rocco
said sitting back down, “Just go”
“Fine but you haven’t heard the
back of us just yet” they laughed.
Once they went I looked at Rocco
speechless.
“You never told me you were in a
gang” I said angrily.
“I’m sorry” he said looking
at me worriedly.
“They could have killed me!” I
spat.
“Well they
didn’t” Rocco said heartlessly.
