This morning was the best morning of my entire life. The boy I like, Clint, asked me to be his girlfriend. <3
But it gets so much better than that. 

I was at a New Years Eve party at his house, and this group of freshmen girls would look at me from time to time and giggle and then look away. I did my best to ignore it, but I knew something was up. 

About three minutes till midnight, Clint's younger brother Keith pulled me aside and told me to go out onto the porch. I didn't want to, I was suspicious, who wouldn't be at this point? 

But I ended up getting pushed out onto the porch, and then locked out (by a kid I might add who didn't even know what was going on) and in the freezing cold I stood there. 

I heard something move a little away and I looked off the porch and saw Clint walk towards the porch. 

So there I stood, as he read me a few lines from the scene from Romeo and Juliet where Romeo goes to see Juliet when she's on the balcony above him. 

And at the end of this, he put his own spin on it. He said:
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet, and I know that even if you looked different, had a different name, you'd still be the same beautiful rose I know."

He then climbed up on the edge of porch holding onto the railing in front of me, and took my hands and said:
"So Elizabeth, will you be my girlfriend?"

I said yes and there, underneath the Christmas lights on his porch, to the sound of the people inside counting down "3, 2, 1", he kissed me. 

This is a true story, fairytales can happen in real life girls, don't ever give up. I know I wanted to many times, but there's someone out there just for you. Never give up, never think you're not good enough.
