saw your room.
You were so embarrassed, but not because of the unmade bed,
clothing covering every inch of the carpet, or the fact that
there was a hole punched into the wall from a hockey stick, but
because the only neat thing in your room was your bookcase,
and that you loved to read.
And by the way, I know you didn't plaster that hole, I peeked
and it's only covered by that poster in your room
