Chapter 3

While the sun was out, Ben introduced me to his brother, Dean, and his good friend Mike.
We played frisbee and other games out on the beach.
Ben and i had become very close. I know thats kinda weird since it was only 2 days, 
but he became the closest friend i had ever had.

Once it reached sunset, Ben offered to take me home.
"No, its fine, i try to avoid my mom." I tried to say as polietly as i could.
"Oh..whys that?"
"Not saying"
I could tell by the way he looked at me, that he was slightly offended.
"Sorry Ben..maybe i should go"
"NO!" He said loudly, "Please dont leave me" he whispered as he pulled me close to his chest.
"Okay okay i wont" I said as i hugged him tightly.

A few weeks later,
he took me out to dinner at a nearby burger shop.
While we were eating, he shared alot about his past.
He told me he had no mother, she had been killed in a town shooting just last year.
He told me he hated being at home because his dad was abusive.
He told me he only had a few real friends,
and lastly,
he told me he liked me.

He walked me back to my small little house that looked like what some would say was a beach house.
He stooped on the unlit porch, grabbed me by waist, pulled me close to him and whispered,
"Goodnight Skye, stay safe. If you need me text my number. I-I-I lov- nevermind" 
"Goodnight Ben i promise i will."
He leaned in, and since he was so much taller than me, i got on my tiptoes,
and he placed his warm lips right onto mine.
