Chapter Fifteen

The next day Jack wanted to take me to a party. I was too lazy to decline, so I put on a pair of jean short and a hoodie over a bikini and let him drag me to the party.

It was a swimming party at one of Jack's new friend's houses.
The house was like a mansion, and the pool was an in ground one in the back yard.
There were girls and boys splashing and sitting by the side of the pool, and pop songs were blasting from the stereos. I wrinkled my nose.
"What?" Jack asked me.
"Not real music," I said. Jack pushed me, and I stumbled, but someone caught me. I looked up to see Hunter, smiling down at me. I stood up and turned around to kiss him lightly.
"Hey beautiful," he smiled against my lips.
"Hi," I said, on my tiptoes, giving him another kiss.
I let go of him and lowered myself into a normal standing position, smiling stupidly up at him.
Hunter didn't have a shirt on, and his swim trunks hung loosely on his frame.
He was thin, but muscular, like a swimmer.
"Wanna swim?" he asked, taking my hand. I nodded and started pulling off my  sweatshirt and shorts.  I kicked off my flip-flops and put my hair up into a bun.
I grabbed Hunter's hand, who was staring at me, grinning.
"Come on," I groaned, pulling him towards the pool.  A chunk of my black hair fell into my line of vision, and I blew it off my face, but not before Hunter could pick me up and run with me in his arms into the pool.
I shreeked. "HUNTER!"
He jumped into the pool, sending water everywhere. He let me go, and I floated in the water.
"I'm all wet," I said, pushing my hair out of my face.
"Oh well," Hunter smiled, swimming off to get out of the pool.
I followed him to get a towel.
