    Irish Dream
    Chapter 6
    Brody's point of view
I looked at Taylor trying to make a serious face.
We both started bursting out laughing.
I said confidently, “You know I’ll win.”
She replied, “We’ll see about that!”
I gestured for Taylor to start walking down the muddy and narrow path, “After you.”
She let out a sinister smile as if she was about to do something.
She started looking around in the sky like something mysterious was there.
She shouted, “Hey look at that bird!”
I quickly turned my head and laughed, “There’s obviously nothing there silly.”
I turned back around to see Taylor sprinting down the narrow path kicking up mud as she went.
“Hey wait for me!” I shouted.
I began sprinting after her passing innocent joggers along the way.
They must’ve thought we were two crazy mad men running like no tomorrow.
“Looks like you’ll be down ten bucks today!” I heard Taylor shout from a distance.
    I stopped in my tracks.
She thinks she can beat me at my own game?
I knew this park better than anyone!
I scurried through the bushes and thorns looking to take a short cut meeting up with the path.
Just as she came jogging around the bend, I jumped out and caught her accidently tripping her.
She fell on top of me and we both went crashing into the deep, sticky mud.
“Oh no! My designer sweatpants! How could you!” She said sarcastically.
I let out a smile and said, “Found you.”
We both started laughing at our child like actions.
I picked up a big pile of dripping mud and looked at Taylor in the eyes.
“Don’t you dare,” she said with a big smile on her face.
I threw the mud at her hair and she shouted, “It’s on!!!”
It now became a test of who could throw more mud at the other person.
By the time we were done, all of our clothes, hair, and skin were covered in wet, sticky, filthy mud.
But we didn’t care; we were just enjoying the moment.
“Well that was, fun.” I said in a noticeably heavy Irish accent.
I helped Taylor to her feet and said cheerfully, “Come with me, there’s one more place I want to show you. But first you have to put this on.”
I handed her a blindfold and she put it on willingly.
“Fine, but don’t make me regret letting you do this.” She said with an overwhelming smile on her face.
I took her hands and guided her down the path.
When we arrived at the lake she asked, “Are we almost there?”
“Yup take off your blindfold.” I said happily.
She untied the black cloth covering her eyes and gasped.
“This place is beautiful, can we go in the water?” She asked.
“Follow me.” I said taking off my shirt leaving my muscular upper body exposed.
I ran down the shore line and jumped in the cold but refreshing water.
Taylor followed me and splashed in the water.
She let out a small squeal at the icy water.
“Water is never this cold in Arizona!” She explained.
“Ahh but good old Ireland water this is. Get used to it, everything is colder here.” I assured her.
“This is amazing Brody, thank you so much for taking me here instead of into town.”
“Oh it’s not over yet.” I said smiling and laughing.
I got out of the water and walked over to a large oak tree with a rope I had set up with my father when I was much younger.
“Try this.” I said to Taylor pointing at the rope leading to the water.
She stood on the wooden platform and jumped.
The rope swung long over the water and she let go screaming.
I quickly followed her and cannon balled into the water next to her getting water in her face purposely.
“Ahhh!” Taylor shouted as I continued splashing her face with water.
This started a splashing war and when we finally calmed down, Taylor said, “Thanks for making this a great day. I really enjoyed it.”
We both smiled and I leaned in to give her a small peck on the cheek.
To my surprise, she didn’t lean away.
I pulled away slowly and said, “We better get going if we want to make it back to the car before the sun sets completely.”
We walked back to the car and I set out towels on the seats to avoid a smelly car later.
“Thanks for coming with me. I had a lot of fun with you today.” I explained to her.
I looked at her and we both started laughing.
This really was a great day.
Just two teenagers acting like complete children.
Fave/Comment!! So this was a veryy long one written by Lexi(: Hope ya'll liked it(: Comment your thoughts about the two of them. Thanks for reading(:

    Irish Dream
    Chapter 5
    Taylor's point of view
The next morning I found myself picking out yet another pair of sweats.
I kept my hair down today and completely natural.
I wasn't trying to impress anyone, and just that alone was a blessing.
I was just tying on my shoes when a knock sounded at my door.
"Hey American girl, are you coming or not?" Brody yelled through the door.
I rolled my eyes and yelled back, "Hey Irish boy, American girl isn't used to the time change!"
I could hear Brody's cheerful laugh even though my door was shut.
I smiled in spite of myself; I had made a really good friend in less than 24 hours.
Still smiling I opened the door to let Brody in.
"Finally! I thought you were dying in there."
Once again his accent made me smile.
I must have looked stupid because he said, "Am I missing something?"
I shook my head while walking out the door.
"No, it's just your accent really is cute."
He smiled and replied back, "Once again, you have the accent, Miss America."
I rolled my eyes while grabbing my purse off of the kitchen table.
"Let's go Mr. Ireland. I didn’t dress this good just to stay in your house," I said jokingly.
Brody raised his eyebrows, "This is a good fashion day? I would really hate to see you on a bad day."
The car ride with Brody was amazing in itself.
The scenery of lush green hills, freshly plowed farms, and sparkly blue ponds were beautiful.
I was sort of shocked when he pulled onto a dirt road.
Confused, I looked at him; I thought we were going into town?
Brody saw me in the corner of his eye and smiled.
A little annoyed, I looked at him, "Where are we going? Cause I swear if your here to kill me I will scream bloody murder," I said jokingly.
Brody parked the car, "If I wanted to murder you I could have done it last night."
I stifled a laugh, "Good point."
I got out of the car and wondered aloud, "So where exactly are we? This definitely isn't town."
Brody clapped his hands, "Wow you're so observant! Congrats!" he said mockingly.
I rolled my eyes and said, "So are you going to answer my question?"
Brody nodded his head, "Yep so this is a park. I mean your going to be going to town a lot so I decided why not go here? This is my favorite place to go."
A smile tugged at the corner of my lips; the gesture of bringing me here, suddenly felt very touching.
Brody started walking up a path weaving in between the big lush trees.
I picked my pace to keep up with his long strides, "So why do you like this park so much?" I asked curiously.
Brody smiled sadly, "My dad used to take me here all the time."
I dropped my gaze to my shoes, "I'm sorry." I said softly.
He just shook his head and smiled, "Come on, if we get to the end of this trail before the end of the day I'll give you ten bucks."
I smiled and narrowed my eyes, "You're on."
Fave/comment!!! Comment your thoughts on what you think will happen between Taylor and Brody in the future? Friends or more then that? Comment! (:
BTW: Happy (late) St. Patty's Day! Here's to all of you Irish readers! Charlie and I are both Irish!(:

    Irish Dream
    Chapter 3
    Brody's point of view
My heart skipped a beat as a tall black haired beauty approached us.
"You must be Taylor. It’s great to finally meet you, I'm Brody."
I got deeply lost in a blue-green ocean when our eyes met for the first time.
I snapped myself out if it.
No, I can’t do this again. She’s just another girl. I’ve already broken way too many girls’ hearts. I thought to myself. "Shall we get going?" My mom asked to fill the silence.
I nodded my head as I began rearranging my hair into a smooth flow again.
"After you." I motioned for Taylor to go first.
I saw her struggling with her multiple bags so I let out a light chuckle.
Mum shot me 'the eye' so I picked up her bags and helped her gather her things.
    "Thanks." She whispered softly.
"No problem. You really rock those sweats you know." I said playfully.
I lightened the mood as Taylor let out a small chuckle.
I loaded the car with Taylor's mountain of luggage and opened the door for her signaling for her to get in.
We mostly drove in silence with the exception of my mum asking basic questions.
I could tell she was tired because she answered the questions with one word answers.
"Here we are." I said cheerfully.
When we got inside I explained directions to Taylor's room.
She still looked confused so I gently took her arm signalizing for her to follow me to her new room.
She flinched at my touch and pulled away furiously.
"I'm sorry... Its...it's nothing personal." She said softly.
    That was odd I thought.
    Maybe she's just being shy...
I walked up to my room confused.
    What was her problem?
    Bad breakup?
    I hope I didn’t offend her.
    Did I do something wrong?
Thoughts furiously flooded into my head.
This wasn’t exactly how I wanted to start our relationship off.
Maybe I’ll just give her some time and talk to her later.
I sat on my bed tossing a small, stuffed basketball above my head repeatedly.
    What was I doing?
I can’t leave a girl hanging like this.
I jumped off my bed and rushed outside.
I knelt down beside Taylor’s window and knocked slightly.
She looked startled and jumped a little when she saw me.
“Open up.” I said with a slight grin on my face.
    “Can we talk?”
Fave/comment!!! First chapter from Brody's POV!(: hope ya'll liked it(: Make sure you read tomorrows chapter which has Brody and Taylor's talk(:

    Irish Dream
    Chapter 2
    Taylor's point of view
School was as boring as ever today; all I could think about was Ireland.
Everyone at school had promised that they would text me everyday, but they were lying.
    Not that I cared.
Besides I promised myself no texting or calling, just writing letters.
Sort of romantic if I wasn't just writing to my best friend and family.
That's okay though because the last thing I need is a boyfriend.
I shook my head as I finished packing the last of my stuff for the trip.
I wasn't going to let anything ruin the trip for me.
I smiled as I walked over to my calendar and crossed off Thursday.
A few more hours and I would be on a plane to Ireland.
My alarm started blaring the radio at midnight.
I groaned and rolled over, why in the world does my plane have to take off at 3 in the morning?
I grimaced as my mom turned on my lights, "Rise and shine!" She said in a voice way too cheery for midnight.
I sighed and turned off my alarm.
I then walked sluggishly to my closet and chose my comfiest sweats and sweatshirt.
Once I changed, I put on my makeup and pulled my hair in a messy bun.
I glanced in the mirror and shrugged; this was as good as it was gonna get.
I grabbed my suitcase and walked downstairs where my half asleep brother was eating cereal.
Eric looked up and pushed a bowl and spoon across the table, "Here." He said sleepily.
I gratefully accepted the bowl while pouring my cereal in it.
As I ate my nerves were escalating.
I took a deep breath; I was going to be okay.
Eric looked at the clock, "I guess it’s time to go to the airport at this ungodly hour."
I frowned, "What about my breakfast?"
    He shrugged, "Too slow."
I rolled my eyes as I grabbed a granola bar and headed for the car.
My mom was already in the front seat waiting for us. "Have everything?" She asked.
I nodded my head, "Yep, I packed basically my whole room."
My mom nodded her head, "This is a trip of a life time! I know you'll just love it!" She said excitedly.
I smiled; this was the good thing about my mom, she wasn't a clingy over protective parent.
Just then my brother got into the car and said, "Let's go! The sooner we leave the sooner I can go back to bed."
I rolled my eyes and punched him playfully in the shoulder, "It's comforting that you'll miss me." I said sarcastically.
Once we got to the airport everything was a blur.
There was a lot of goodbyes, hugging, security checks, and waiting.
Before I knew it I was on the plane heading off to Ireland.
I was thankful that no one was sitting next to me so I could have more leg room, but I also wished I had someone to talk to.
I sighed and put in my head phones while turning on my music.
    This was all about me.
This trip was going to be amazing.
I woke up to the pilot telling us to put on our seat-belts.
I looked around confused and stunned at the fact that I had slept for the whole plane ride.
It was at least a 6 and a half hour trip.
    I couldn't believe my luck.
I smiled as I pulled on my seatbelt.
The plane quickly landed and we were let off the plane.
I nervously got off the plane and retrieved my bags.
I took a deep anxious breath as I crossed the gate into the busy airport crowd.
Off to the side I saw a middle aged plump woman with auburn hair holding a sign saying my name in bold letters: Taylor Johnson.
Next to the woman was a boy around my age.
He was tall and slender however he had quite a muscular build.
I noticed his flowing blonde hair with a tint of light ginger roots.
I took a deep breath and began walking up to them.
Once in front of them I took a deep breath and said, "Hi, Mrs. O’Hara is it? Very nice to meet you, I'm Taylor Johnson."
Fave/comment!!! Thank you all so much for reading! Really hope you guys like this(:

    Irish Dream
    Chapter 1
    Taylor's point of view
Before I walked into my school's office I took a deep breath.
My next move was going to affect the rest of my year.
I brushed my straight black hair behind my ears and walked in, "Hi, I'm here to turn in my foreign exchange student forms." I said confidently.
The lady at the desk, Miss Harper, smiled at me.
She took my forms and said, "Ah, yes Taylor. You seem to be the only student going to Ireland this year as a foreign exchange student.
" I shrugged my shoulders; I was hoping to be the only one anyway.
"Okay Taylor so all your forms seem to be correct, so it looks like you'll be heading to Ireland at the end of this week.
I nodded my head while she handed me my plane ticket and information on my exchange family.
Once I finished talking to Miss Harper I turned and walked outside.
I smiled as a cool breeze blew across my face.
I was sick of the thick Arizona heat that was always suffocating me.
Just then my thought was interrupted by a cherry red Lamborghini pulling up in front of me.
I opened the door and climbed in, "Hey, dearest brother Eric." I said sarcastically.
Eric smiled at me, "Hey, dearest sister Taylor."
I pulled my brother into a big hug, "I missed you." I murmured.
"I missed you too, but hey it's my last year at college so I'll be coming home soon to stay." I smiled.
Eric and I weren't like most siblings.
My mom raised us as a single mother, and my brother took it upon himself to teach me all the fatherly stuff.
"That's awesome but guess where I'm going at the end of this week?" I said excitedly.
Eric looked thoughtful for a second and then said, "You're going to Ireland as a foreign exchange student?"
I looked at him blankly; how did he know? I never told him.
Eric saw the confused look on my face and said, "Mom told me." I sighed, "Way to ruin the surprise."
He smiled, "Why's the most popular girl in school leaving to Ireland?"
I rolled my eyes; I would have shoved him if we weren't driving.
"I'm just so sick of them. All they care about is money, clothes, and guys."
Eric raised his eyebrow and nonchalantly asked, "And what do you care about?"
I put my forehead against the window, and paused for a second.
I knew I was different than everyone else; yeah material goods are nice but there has to something better in life.
I sighed and said, "I care about grades and my family."
Now it was Eric's time to roll his eyes, "How did you become so popular again?"
I looked straight ahead while my brother turned down our long driveway, "I'm popular because I have money." I said bluntly.
My brother parked the car, "Good point, but one more question. Don't you believe in love?" I shook my head.
This, for me, was an easy question. "No. No Eric I don't believe in love."
"I can't believe you're going to Ireland! Why are you leaving me?" My best friend, Alex, yelled through the phone.
"I'm not leaving you. I'll be back in three months." I said matter-a-factly.
I mean I wasn't lying; Alex was the only other person who understood me.
She wasn't a glamour girl who was stuck on how she looked, she was like me: bored of everyone who was fake.
"Three months is a long time!" She said mellow dramatically.
"Then come with me." I said simply.
Alex made a sound of disgust, "Ew, no offense Taylor but its sort of dirty there and besides I like guys who don't have heads of fire."
I rolled my eyes while grabbing a suitcase from my closet.
"It's beautiful and I think gingers are hot." I explained.
Alex started laughing, "Looks like miss-love-is-dead may finally see the light."
    I snorted, "Very unlikely."
And it was true; just because guys are hot doesn't mean I love them, let alone like them.
That's the one thing that I firmly believed in; love didn't exist.
I mean I did have reason, my dad left my mom before I was born and all my mom's relatives were divorced.
So yes. Love was dead me.
"You know, I'm really going to miss you." Alex said softly.
I nodded my head sadly, "I'm gonna miss you too, but we can be like Dear John." I said slowly.
Alex giggled, "Yeah, we'll write back and forth. Well either way I’m going to miss you."
This was the hardest part saying goodbye to my friends and family.
"I'll see you tomorrow at school, bye." I said while hanging up.
I really suck at good byes.
I sighed as I walked over to my calendar and crossed off Wednesday and circled Friday.
    Just one more day.
Fave/comment! I hope you like the first chapter!! For all you readers who read my first story I want y'all to know that this one I'm writing with my best friend :) We will try to post a new chapter everyday :) so yep comments are welcomed :) We Wlksjdf Wwersdf

    A Price to Pay
    Part 3 Chapter 16
I woke up the next morning with a smile on my face and butterflies in my stomach. My parents had accepted Jeremy and they were anticipating the wedding. All that stood in my way now was Jack’s mass. A little part of me still mourned for him and wanted him back desperately, but I had to face the facts; he was never coming back. I sighed as I woke Jeremy, “Hey, if you’re going to go to the mass you have to wake up, but you know if you don’t want to go…” He rolled over and smiled faintly, “No, no, I’m coming.” Jeremy got up and slowly walked over to his clothes, “Why does this gotta be so damn early?” I rolled my eyes, “It’s 7:00.” I said while walking into the bathroom across the hall. Once I was in the privacy of the bathroom I looked down at my simple black dress and then at my engagement ring; what would people say? I shook my head while pulling on the dress; I can’t think that way. I left my face untouched and put my hair in a sleek ponytail. If only Jack could see me. I glanced once more at the mirror and then walked into reality.
I was scared as my family, Faith’s family, Jeremy and I approached the church. I wanted nothing more than to drive all the way back to my house and crawl under the security of my blankets. I didn’t know what was scarier; reliving Jack’s death, or having everyone find out I was engaged. I prayed that it was the first reason. Slowly we walked into the church and saw Jack’s family. I immediately walked up to his mother, “Hey, How has everything been?” I asked nervously. She smiled sadly and said, “It’s hard but we had to get on with our lives; I know Jack wants us to be happy. “ I smiled, “Yeah.” She glanced at Jeremy, “He seems like a nice boy.” I nodded my head, “He is, but not a day goes by where I don’t think of Jack.” She squeezed my hand, “I know, but you know what? Jack wants this for you.” I smiled with tears glimmering in my eyes, “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
    ***
As I snuggled closely to Jeremy that night my mind was flooded with the past. I thought of all the failures in my life, all the hardships, and all the loss. But as I laid there I also thought of my accomplishments, all my achievements, and all the love. It hit me then at that moment that all the hard times was just a small price to pay.
    The End.

    A Price to Pay
    Part 3 Chapter 15
I retrieved my house keys from the bottom of my purse. I unlocked the door and stepped in, "Hey everyone! I'm home!" I shouted. My sister, Sophia, lazily walked in from the kitchen, "Hola, little sis, and little sis's boytoy." I rolled my eyes and gave her a hug, "Well hello to you too." I said sarcastically. Jeremy waved, "Hey, Sophia." My sister ignored his wave and gave him a big hug. Jeremy threw me a confused glance behind her shoulder, I just shrugged my shoulders; he wasn't the only one confused. Once Sophia released him I changed topic, "So where's mom and dad?" I asked glancing around. She sighed, "Mom just got out of work and dad should be leaving the apartment about now. They both wanted to be here when you walked in but they're not so I get the honors," Sophia raised her hands over her head and said sarcastically, "Welcome home!" I rolled my eyes, "Thanks... Ok well Jeremy and I are going up stairs, let me know when everyone gets here." She smiled and looked at Jeremy and i secretly, "Have fun you two love birds." I didn't like that smile; she knew something the rest of us didn't... I shook it off, whatever. Jeremy and I walked up to my room. But when I opened the door I knew exactly why Sophia had been smiling. Half my room was covered in boxes, the other half had been transformed into and art studio. There was something about seeing all my stuff in boxes that got to me. I walked over to my dresser and found my iPod dock but Sophia's iPod in there with a new song ready to be played. "What happened?" Jeremy asked. I shook with rage and said through gritted teeth, "Sophia transformed my room into her private art studio." I balled my hand into fists and ran down the stairs, "Sophia what the hell happened to my room!?" Sophia smirked, "Oh, you don't mind right. Mom said I could because I live so close to home... Oh chill out! Don't worry we moved all your stuff to guest bedroom." I shook my head, "The boxes are still in my room, and why the hell didnt you move into the guest bedroom!" I shouted. Her expression softened, "I didn't know it would hurt you... And the boxes are just my paints and stuff, oh and the guest bedroom was too small." I sighed, "I feel like I'm being kicked out of my room..." She looked hurt, "I didn't think it would care, and your gone all the time. I'm sorry I should have asked." I sighed and shook my head, "No it's fine... Just ask next time." I said while walking up the stairs. I got Jeremy and headed into the guest bedroom. It looked like and exact replica of my old one, just cramped. I sighed and plopped down on the bed. "Are you ok?" Jeremy asked while lying down next to me. I nodded my head, "I'm fine, just a little hurt." Jeremy closed his eyes in thought. After awhile he opened them and reached inside his pocket. He pulled out his iPod and clicked on a song. I smiled; the song was 'My Wish' by Rascal Flatts. The familiar lyrics flooded through me, "You remembered." I whispered. He smiled, "I remember everything you say." I kissed him softy on the lips. Suddenly Sophia knocked on the door, "Yo love birds! Mom and dad are here!" I slowly pulled back and grabbed Jeremy's hand, "Are you ready?" I asked nervously. He nodded his head, "When I'm with you I'm ready to do anything."
After my parents welcomed me home and everyone was settled down in the living room I stood up, "Mom, dad, Sophia, we have something to tell you." My parents looked at me with concern and Sophia rolled her eyes, "Here comes the big shocker." I ignored Sophia and took a deep breath, "Jeremy recently found out that he was also accepted into the university of Miami," I squeezed Jeremy's hand and continued, "and with that being said, we want to get married." I said while holding up my left hand with the engagement ring on it. My parents looked at me; alarm written all over their face. "Are you pregnant?" my mom asked in disbelief. I shook my head violently, "No. Of course not!" Their expressions softened a little, "You barely know each other." my mom said softly. "Mom we're in love." I said dreamily looking at Jeremy. My mother looked like she was going to say something but she shut her mouth. But I knew what she was going to say. 'I was in love once too.' I'm not an idiot, I knew my parents didn't believe in love anymore; but I did. And that's all that matters. "Oh my gosh! This is amazing! Ok I'm in charge of all the decorations and art work! I'm the wedding planner! Ohhh this is going to be so much fun." Sophia said excitedly. I smiled, "Your not only just the wedding planner sister dear; your also my maid of honor with Faith." Sophia looked like she was about to cry, which to me was the most shocking thing of the night. "Jeremy what do you think of this?" My dad asked. Jeremy squeezed my hand and said, "Mr. Reed, I love your daughter, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I know her better than I know myself." Jeremy was starting to win my parents over I thought while my parents expressions softened more. "What's her favorite color?" Sophia cut in. "Purple." Jeremy responded. "Her dream career?" "Professional soccer player." "What's her dead boyfriend's name?" "Jack." "How about her favorite song?" "My Wish, by Rascal Flatts." "One last question," my sister questioned, "who's her favorite person?" Jeremy smiled, "You, of course." I rolled my eyes while my sister smiled and said, "He passes my test. I say he's a keeper."
Fave/comment! Sooo next chapter is the mass for Jack which a lot of people are anticipating (which I have no idea why) so I'm going to make it really good for you guys :)

    Part 3 Chapter 14
After awhile of just sitting there at Jack's grave, Jeremy came and retrieved me. "Hey are you ready to go?" I nodded my head and then look back one more time at the headstone, "You know you went way too soon. Tomorrow's your birthday, the big 19. You went way too soon Jack, way too soon..." Then I slowly got up, brushed the tears out of my eyes, and silently found Jeremy's hand. We walked to the car in silence, and we didn't speak until we left the cemetery. Once we got out Jeremy cleared his throat and said, "I guess we should go pick up Faith." I nodded my head, "Yeah, and she hasn't texted or called so, I mean that's a good thing." Jeremy nodded his head, "Yeah I hope so, I mean I've never met him so..." I shook my head, "He's not abusive Jeremy. Remember he came to Faith aunt's house just to beg to be apart of Sarah's life." he shrugged his shoulders, "I guess." Jeremy turned down Griffin's street and slowly parked into his driveway. I got out of the car and rang the door bell. Faith came to the door with Sarah in Griffin's arms. Faith smiled at me. I sighed a sigh of relief; everything went well. "Hi." Griffin smiled at me. I forced a smile back, I didn't exactly trust him. "Hi, so... Um Faith you ready to go...?" She smiled, "Yep, just gimme a sec." I nodded my head and got back in the car. After awhile Faith came in, "So what happened?" I asked nervously. She smiled, "He apologized, gave Sarah a thousand dollars, and we're back together." Jeremy and I gasped, "Back together?" "One thousand dollars?" Jeremy and I asked at the same time. Faith smiled and nodded, "Yes and yes! It's perfect!" I gave her a confused glance, "You actually trust him?" she nodded, "I have to Amy, I don't have a choice, besides he gave Sarah a thousand dollars!" I shrugged my shoulders, "I trust you, and I'm glad your happy." I said. Faith kept smiling, "Yep, oh and Jeremy turn down this road and then take a left, and then I'm the third house down." I turned around in my carseat, "I thought you were gonna swing by my house?" she have me a sympathetic look, "I was but, I miss my parents a lot..." I nodded my head, "Oh... Right sorry." I said. In a few minutes Jeremy and I were saying good bye and promising to pick her up at 7:00 the next morning. Once she got in the house Jeremy started driving to my house. "Nervous?" I asked. He shook his head, "Of course not, they already love me." I rolled my eyes, "They met you once, airhead." he smiled, "Well it doesn't matter what they think, besides your sister might lighten the mood and for the record they met me twice." I giggled, that was true. "Don't rely on my sister, and whatever once twice, same thing!" I said while Jeremy pulled into my driveway. "Let's do this" he said while helping me out of the car. I smiled, "Let's do it."

    Part 3 Chapter 13
After Faith and I played soccer I walked lazily to the shower. "Do we really have school tomorrow?" I asked tiredly. Faith rolled her eyes, "Um, yeah tomorrow would be Tuesday..." I groaned as I grabbed a towel. Once I got in the shower my mind started digesting my week. When I looked down to get my shampoo bottle I gasped; right next to it was my razor. I breathed in sharply. I could do this, Faith was probably just testing me. But the question is: was I ready? I briefly closed my eyes and thought about all the good things in life. I was getting married. I was going to college for soccer. Faith wasn't coming with me... I quickly shook my head, no I had to think of good things. I was one of the top scorers in the state. Jeremy was going to college with me. I continued repeating this list until I got out of the shower. When I turned off the water, a smile was tugging at the corner of my lips. I did it! I pasted the test! As I walked out of the bathroom to retrieve my clothes, I picked up my shortest shorts and my shortest T-shirt. Once I changed Faith looked at me, "Either you're a slutty mess or you didn't do it." I smiled, "I have a boyfriend so no need for the slutty mess." Faith smiled, "Thank you." I looked around confused, "For what?" She hugged me, "For not doing it."
The next few days passed in a blur. Jeremy and I had agreed to telling his parents about our engagement on Friday, then driving down to my hometown to tell my parents the next day. As the days ticked by I became more and more nervous, until Friday came. The school day was painfully fast, and when Jeremy came to pick me up I was unprepared. "Are you positive we should go now? Cause I have no problem waiting..." I said hopefully. Jeremy squeezed my hand, "Im positive, besides we need to tell my parents before 5:30 if we want to pick up Faith in time." I groaned, "Jeremy, your parents already don't like me, now they are going to hate me!" Jeremy looked into my eyes, "I've convinced them that you are amazing, and besides even if they do hate you my love for you will never change." I smiled, "You know all the right things to say, don't you?" Jeremy nodded his head and kissed me, "Yes, I really do."
When we pulled into Jeremy's driveway, the butterfly's in my stomach had returned. "How do you feel?" Jeremy asked while getting out of the car. I got out and clasped hands with him, "It feels like there's angry ninjas in my stomach with swords." I said bluntly. Jeremy chuckled then kissed my forehead, "Just remember my love for you will never change." I nodded my head then stopped, "I'm not nervous because your parents might stop us. I'm nervous that I'm going to ruin your relationship with your parents." Jeremy gently cradled my head, "They'll get over it, and if that don't... Well that's their problem." He whispered while kissing me softly. I nodded while kissing him back, "Did I mention that I love you?" I asked while pulling away. He nodded his head, "Yeah, but it's nice to hear it anyway." I smiled while walking up to his doorstep. I was ready.
"So how did it go?" Faith asked excitedly. I grabbed my bag from Faith, "It was ummm good I guess." Jeremy stuffed all our bags in his trunk, "Let's say it went well." he said. Faith buckled Sarah into her carseat, "Details! Details!" she squealed. We all got into the car and started the long ride back to Faith and my hometown. "Well I mean, they weren't thrilled, but they were hospitable about it." I said happily. "They just think Amy is holding me back, which she isn't, of course." Faith frowned, "Well they should respect you Amy. You are just amazing." Jeremy nodded his head, while I blushed fiercely. "So how do you think your family will react?" Faith asked. I shrugged my shoulders, "Sophia will be ecstatic because she has a new person to annoy. And my parents would be a little freaked and think I'm pregnant but then be ok." jeremy nodded then said, "What about the mass for Jack?" I my heart sunk a little. "I don't know... I guess if someone asks I will have to tell the truth, but I'm just nervous at what they think... What Jack will think." I admitted sheepishly. "Amy he's dead, and anyone who makes my girl mad is going to get it!" Jeremy shook his head, "Faith we know he's dead but he was such a significant part of her life... And they would have to go through me too." I sighed, "Can we stop at the cemetery before we go to my house?" Jeremy nodded his head, "Of course." he said. Faith nervously wrung her hands, "Yeah, but could you guy drop me off at Griffin's house, Sarah and I have a visit to make." I turned around in my carseat to look at Faith, "Are you sure?" she nodded her head, "I'm sure."
When we turned down Griffin's street Faith looked around nervously, "I know this all too well... It's just like last time, except now I have the baby..." I frowned; I knew how much pain she was going through, "we'll pick you up once we get back from the cemetery, call if you need us before that." I said. Faith just nodded her head numbly while we turned into his driveway. Faith unbuckled Sarah from her carseat, "Wish me luck." she said while walking to the door. Once she was inside Jeremy and I drove down the the cemetery. When we got there Jeremy dropped me off to give me a little alone time with him. I walked to his grave and knelt down, "Hey there, Jack." I said while sliding my hand around the top of the headstone. "I know, it's been awhile, but I think about you all the time. Whenever I get on a soccer field I play for you, with the cleats you gave me." I could feel tears burn in my eyes, "I have big news for you, I got accepted to the university of Miami... Just like you said. I guess you were always right..." I sighed and let the tears escape, "And you remember Jeremy, right? Well he proposed to me... And I said yes. We're getting married."

    Part 3 Chapter 12
My heart sunk as Faith said those words. It was our dream; it had been our dream for as long as I remember. As long as I could remember; then it hit me. In the beginning Faith didn't want to go pro, it wasn't until later that she changed her mind. But still Faith and I were like two peas in a pod, I hadnt done anything without her. How could I go to college without her? How could I accomplish my dreams without her? "How can I leave you behind?" I whispered. "We'll Skype everyday. I promise." she replied. "You don't want to move away from Sarah and I don't want to move away from you." I said with tears glittering in my eyes. "No. It's already decided. You're going to college for soccer. I got pregnant and had Sarah, that was my fate. Your fate is to go pro. Don't forget that ok?" I nodded numbly, "Well you have to promise me that you will go to college, at least to college online. Maybe you could major in being an agent or something that way you could be my agent when I'm pro." She smiled, "Of course. And one more thing Amy." I looked up, "Hmm?" Faith looked down at Sarah, "Make you're goddaughter proud."
Faith and I walked downstairs together with Sarah in my arms. When Aunt Liz saw us she smiled, "Amy you have one heck of a boyfriend. He's been such a sweetheart helping me cook dinner. He's deffinatly a keeper." I smiled, I am keeping him, I thought. I walked over to Jeremy and wrapped my arms around him, "He is the bestboyfriend ever." I said. Jeremy kissed me on the forehead, "And you're the best girlfriend ever." Aunt Liz smiled at us, "Ah young love. You know I married Ryan when I was 18, and we've been together for 20 years." Jeremy pulled me into him closer, "That's amazing. You I think we want to share something with you guys." he said while pressing the ring into my hand. I gave him a questioning glance but he just nodded his head. Just then Uncle Ryan walked in the kitchen, he look confused. "What's happening?" he asked. Faith shrugged her shoulders, "Dunno, why don't you ask them." she said while motioning to us. Jeremy smiled and said, "We weren't going to tell anyone until Saturday but I think the moments perfect." I nodded my head and said, "Last night Jeremy proposed to me!" I said while holding up my left hand. Faith looked shocked, "How come you didn't tell me!?" Jeremy shrugged his shoulders "We wanted to keep it a secret for a while."Faith handed Sarah to Aunt Liz, the walked up and punched him playfully in the arm, "That's for not telling me," The she hugged him, "and that's for asking Amy to marry you." Faith then turned to me, "You're going to married!" she squealed while flinging her arms around me. "I know!" I replied equally excited. When she let go I could see Uncle Ryan shaking Jeremy's hand. Aunt Liz hugged me, "Congratulations!" she said sincerely. Then see walked up to Jeremy and gave him a hug, "You picked the right girl, and she picked the right boy." He smiled and hugged her back, "I agree." Once everyone had congratulated us Jeremy said, "Now can you please keep this a secret, just for a few days." They all nodded in unison, "Of course we will." Uncle Ryan said. I smiled; life was pretty damn good right now.
Once Jeremy had left and Faith was putting Sarah to bed, I idly walked to the kitchen to help Aunt Liz wash dishes. As I picked up a dish Aunt Liz smiled at me, "Jeremy's a good boy." I sighed, "Do you think I made the right choice? I mean I love him but what about soccer?" Aunt liz looked at me, "Do you think you made the right decision?" I sighed, I knew I wasn't going to get a straight answer. "I want to spend the rest of my life with him, but if we both become professional soccer players we won't see each other." Aunt Liz went back to washing dishes, "Do you believe in love?" I was taken aback by this question, "Yes. I'm in love now..." Aunt Liz nodded her head and simply said, "Then love will find a way to keep you two together." I smiled; what Aunt Liz said made perfect sense. I gently put down my dish and wrapped my arms around her, "Thank you... For everything, you're like a second mom to me." Aunt Liz put down her dish and returned my hug, "And i think of you as my daughter." When I pulled back I could see that her I eyes were glassy. "Amy I'm going to miss you so much when you leave." I smiled weakly, "Me too Aunt Liz, me too."
When I finished washing the dishes I check my phone. I had one text message from Faith. I quickly read it: Wanna practice? I looked at the time it was sent. 5 minutes ago. I rolled my eyes and ran up the stairs. When I opened the door to our soccer I said, "Lazy much?" she smiled, "I was supposed to walk down the stairs, call our name, and then walk back up the stairs? I don't think so." I laughed and kicked the ball at her, "You know, I don't think I want a lazy maid of honor..." Faith turned her head and jumped up and started screaming, "Realy?" I nodded my head, "You act all surprised."

    Part 3 Chapter 9
Jeremy and I just hugged neither of us wanting to break away first. It was perfect. My best friend and my boyfriend were going to college with me. The future wasn’t scary anymore. Slowly Jeremy pulled away, “I hate to be such a negative person but you know we can’t room together and Faith and her baby…” My stomach dropped; Jeremy was right. I sighed, “No. Please, let’s not think of this now.” He nodded his head and we walked down the stairs. On the last stair Jeremy stopped, “Amy, I’m going to tell my parents about Florida.” I nodded my head, “I know it’s going to be hard, but you can do it; I know you can.” He kissed me on my forehead and grabbed my hand, “Come on, let’s go” Jeremy and I walked into the dining room and sat next to each other, our hands still entwined. When Mr. and Mrs. McKinley walked in they acted as if the night’s earlier events had never happened. I didn’t know if that was bad or good so I just went with good. Throughout the dinner we made small talk, but Jeremy and I were growing with tension. It wasn’t until dessert that Jeremy decided to talk about college. “So you guys know how Amy is going to University of Miami?” Jeremy asked, addressing his parents. They both coursed back with, “Yes, yes, bright, bright girl.” Jeremy squeezed my hand, “Well Amy’s not going for the history aspect. She’s going just for the soccer part, but of course she needs something to major so she chose history, but that is not her number one priority. Soccer is.” Jeremy’s parents looked shocked, and I must have looked just as shocked. Why was I getting pulled into this? Jeremy continued, “I was just accepted in the University of Miami. I want to go pro in soccer, and I know I could choose any college to play soccer in but since Amy is my first priority I’m going there.” This seemed to have caused an uproar with his parents. “You will not go! I forbid you!” “She’s just a girl, and she’s pulling you down!” “You could do so much better!” were just some of the insults and commands floating around the room. I wasn’t paying any attention to them until Mrs. McKinley stared at me, “Are you happy now?” I looked at her with confusion, “What?” Jeremy turned all his attention to his parents, “Leave her alone! And leave me alone! I’m going there! My choice is made, and you can’t stop me!” He said while pulling me towards the door. When we reached the door he opened it and called over his shoulder, “I’m sleeping at Amy’s tonight!” The he slammed the door hard. I was in shock. “Jeremy those were your parents.” He smiled, “And you’re my girlfriend, besides I’ve been dying to that for a long time.” I smiled as we got into the car. “What are you smiling about?” he asked. “I’m happy that I have you. When I’m with you I’m happy.” Jeremy returned my smile, “Come on I have something to show you.” He said while starting the car engine and quickly backing out of the driveway. “Where are we going?” I asked. He smiled, “You’ll see.” In a few minute he pulled into a parking lot to a soccer field. He pulled me out and kissed me, “Come on!” I laughed, “What are we doing? It’s 9 o’clock!” Jeremy kissed me again and grabbed my hand while running to the center of the soccer field. Once we were there he grabbed both my hands, “I love you Amy Reed.” I smiled at him, “I love you too Jeremy McKinley.” Jeremy released my hands and grabbed into his coat pocket. When he found what he was looking for he smiled and got down on one knee. My heart started pounding hard, but it wasn’t because I was nervous, it was because I was excited. Jeremy smiled, “Amy, I love you. I was waiting to do this until after graduation but I can’t wait. Amy, I want you to be mine forever. You’re my whole world, and I would give up anything for you.” Jeremy opened the box and said, “Amy Reed, will you marry me?”

    Part 3 Chapter 8
"Nervous?" Jeremy asked l while opening the car door for me. I shrugged, "I've been through a lot, I don't think your parents will scare me." I said while clasping my hand into his. "Wait, Amy, before you go in you should know that they are blunt and their only motive is success. So if I say that I'm not going to go pro in soccer, don't freak out. And when they ask you say your going to college for soccer but also say what your majoring in." I nodded my head, trying to absorb all the information. Something was gnawing in the pit of my stomach, "Jeremy, what if they don't like me?" I said in a small voice. He smiled and gave me a kiss, "If they don't like you then they're crazy." I sighed trying to get all that bad mojo out of me, but I still felt the butterflies. Jeremy and I walked to the door and stepped in. The hallway was simple and neat, but when I stepped into the big dining room I gasped. The room was beautiful and rich looking. There was a giant chandler overlooking the oak table. Jeremy's words popped back into my head 'their only motive is success' I guess he wasn't joking. "Mom, dad? Amy and I are here!" A few moments later an accomplished man and women entered. The women, Mrs. McKinley, was average but had a winning smile just like Jeremy. The man, Mr. McKinley, was handsome in an older man sort of way. I guess I know where all Jeremy's looks came from. "Amy, we have heard so much about you! It's nice to finally put a face to your description!" I smiled, "It's a pleasure meeting you too, Mrs. McKinley." I said while shaking her hand. "Jeremy has just been head over heels for you." Mr. McKinley said while shaking my hand. Jeremy's mom showed us to the living room, which was equally as beautiful. Jeremy and I sat on a rich purple love seat, and Mr. and Mrs. McKinley sat across from us on a matching sectional. "So Amy, why don't you tell us something about yourself." Mrs. McKinley said. I took a deep breath and said, "Well my best friend and I both moved here last summer to attend St. Sebastian's. I just got accepted into the University of Miami on a scholarship for soccer, oh and I'm majoring in History." Jeremy squeezed my hand. Mr. McKinley smiled and said, "That's amazing! You must be very bright." I blushed and said, "I wouldn't go that far." Jeremy's mom asked, "What about your past? Like before you came here." I swallowed, my past? My past wasn't to good... Thankfully Jeremy spoke up, "Mom Amy doesn't like to talk about it." he said frankly. His mom raised her eyebrow, "Was it that bad? Get kicked out? Pregnant? Failed?" she asked suspiciously. Anger flooded through me, "No. My parents separated, and my boyfriend died in a car crash" I said in a strong tone, "So if that's your definition of bad than yes." I clenched my free hand into a fist, digging my nails into my palm. Jeremy's parents looked shocked. Mr. McKinley spoke up first, " I'm so sorry. My wife didn't mean any disrespect." I sighed out my last breath of anger, "It's ok, I know that you guys weren't planning on me saying that." Jeremy looked mad and rather embarrassed, "I told you to drop it that she didn't want to talk about it, and what do you do? You ignore me! Whatever we're going to my room." Jeremy said while tugging me up the stairs. I glanced back at his parents and gave them an apologetic glance. When we were in Jeremy's room I sighed a breath of relief. "Thanks for sticking up for me." I said in a small voice. Jeremy looked mad, "They invade everyone's privacy! I will not them do that to you." I smiled and walked up to him, "You know what I think?" I said in a seductive voice. "What?" he replied. "That when your mad you get really sexy." I said while giving him a kiss. Jeremy smiled and started kissing me back. In between his kisses he said, "You know when your really sexy?" I whispered in his ear, "When?" he kissed my neck, "All the time."
A few minutes later we found ourselves entwined on his bed. He was holding me with his strong arms. No one was talking, but we didn't have to. We just sat there, our love radiating out of us. After a while we heard a soft knock on the door and Mrs. McKinley's head stuck out, "It's almost dinner time, be down in ten minutes." Jeremy nodded his head. Then we heard the door shut and his mom walking back down the steps. Once the coast was clear Jeremy jumped up and walked to his dresser, "I almost forgot, when I got home from your house I also got a letter." he said while holding it up. "What college?" I asked. Jeremy smiled secretively, "The only college my parents don't know I entered in." I smiled, "Which one?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer. "University of Miami, for soccer" I stood up with him, "are you going to open it?" Jeremy looked nervous, "You open it for me." I shook my head, "I already opened three today. It's your turn to put your big boy pants on." Jeremy rolled his eyes, "Fine." then he tore open the envelope In one swift move. When he finished reading I looked up at his face. He smiled and gave me a big hug, "I made it Amy! I made it! We're going to college together!"

    Part 3 Chapter 7
The morning went in a blur. It was one of the happiest days of my life. Getting accepted into university of Miami was a dream come true, but the best part was that Faith was also excepted. My life was made. Slowly the morning turned to the afternoon and my family was saying goodbye to me. I was sad that they were leaving but I was happy that we were leaving on a good note. Besides I was going to see them in a week. I smiled and waved as my family drove away, I had a good life. As their car became invisible Jeremy wrapped his arms around my waist, "I'll see you soon, ok?" I furrowed my brow, "For what?" Jeremy put his lips next to my ear, "To meet my family." he said while giving me a kiss, and walking out the door. "Do I look ok?" I said while nervously looking at my reflection in the mirror. Faith rolled her eyes, "For the millionth one you look fine!" I sighed and nodded my head, but I still felt unsure. I was wearing a black skirt and a simple white shirt with big feather earrings and a black necklace. I frowned, "I look like a man with a pretty face in women clothes." I said flatly. Faith started laughing, "And why would that be?" I flexed my muscles in my arms, "Cause I have a figure like a man and more muscles than half the guys in our school." Faith smiled, "Well I think you look good, and take pride in your body I mean half the girls in the school crave it!" I rolled my eyes, "oh please." I walked over to my dresser, "Eye liner or no?" I asked. Faith thought for a moment than said, "A little but don't go over board like usual." I smiled, "I'll try." As Jeremy pulled into my driveway I felt butterflies rise in my stomach. I guess I should've been used to it, considering today's events, but I still felt it. Another thing I couldn't stop was the fact that I ran straight to Jeremy before he shut his car door. "Excited much?" I gave him a big hug, "I just missed you." Jeremy gave my a kiss, "I missed you too." I smiled as we got in the car; my life was amazing. Simple as that. Everyone goes through rough patches, but once you get through them your life is so much better. Jeremy smiled, "Why are you so happy?" I returned his smile, "The question should be what am I not happy about? I mean I just got accepted to the college of my dreams, I have an amazing family, an amazing boyfriend, and an amazing bestfriend!" Jeremy looked at me once we came to a red light, "I'm happy your thinking that way, Amy. You have been through so much, you have every right to be happy." I nodded my head and put my hand over his, "I love you." I whispered. "I love you too. Oh and Amy?" he said back. "Hmmm?" he squeezed my hand, "You look amazing tonight."

    Part 3 Chapter 6
The next morning I woke up to a loud pounding on my bedroom door. “Amy! Faith! Wake up!” I groggily sat up and grimaced at Faith who just shrugged her shoulders. “What?” I said clearly annoyed. My sister Sophia came in waving a paper, “It’s here! It’s here!” She said in a happy voice. Faith glared at her, “What’s here and why is it so important that you had to wake us up on a Saturday?” Sophia frowned, “It’s eleven in the morning…” I ran my hand through my hair, “And your point is…?” Sophia shook her head, “Whatever. So you’re college acceptance letters came in the mail today.” Faith and I shot up out of our beds, “Wait… we just had a game yesterday… how could they have sent one so soon?” I asked in a cautious voice. Faith rolled her eyes, “No college showed up, stupid.” I shoved Faith and grabbed my letter out of my sister’s hand, Faith did the same. Once the letters were in our hand our self-confidence began to falter. Faith, Sophia, and I all sat down on my bed. “You guys, I know what it’s like opening up your college acceptance letter, it’s hard, but you just have to be positive.” Sophia said. I rolled my eyes, “Easy for you to say, you got into one of the best art colleges in the world.” Sophia smiled triumphantly, “Yep, and I’ve had a lovely time there, thanks for asking.” I pushed her off the bed, “No problem sister dear.” Sophia hit the floor with a loud thump, almost instantly Sarah began crying. Faith sprang up and began yelled over her shoulder, “Look what you two did, come on she was sleeping!” Sophia and I exchanged blaming look to one another. Sophia stood up and punched my arm, “Look what you did now.” I rolled my eyes and ignored her. Faith took Sarah and carried her over to the bed. I sighed, “Should we open them now or later?” Faith thought for a moment then said, “We should get everyone downstairs, then we can do it.” I nodded my head, “Let me just call Jeremy.” I grabbed my phone and dialed his number. Almost instantly I heard his silky soft voice on the other end, “Hey babe.” I smiled, “Hey, so can you come over, like right now? Faith and I got our college letters and we wanted to open them in front of everyone.” I could tell Jeremy was smiling, “Wow, that was fast… But yeah, I’ll be there in five minutes… Oh and your parents are leaving tonight right?” I sighed, “Yeah, I’m just a little bummed that they’re leaving so soon…” Jeremy cleared his throat, “I know, but you’ll see them on Saturday.” I nodded, “Yepp… wait didn’t you have to tell me something?” He started laughing, “You’re coming home with me to meet my family.” Then he hung up. I rolled my eyes and shut my phone, walking towards the door.
After a few minutes everyone was downstairs and looking intently at us. I gulped, and looked at Faith who was equally nervous. Jeremy was sitting next to holding my hand; he could tell I was agitated so he squeezed it reassuringly. I smiled then asked, “Which letter first, Faith, University of Miami, Stanford, or UCLA?” Faith looked down, thoughtfully, “Let’s go in the opposite order you said.” I nodded my head and took the letter from UCLA. Faith and I looked at each other, “One.” “Two.” “Three.” Then we tore open the envelope. I looked down at the paper and saw the words: Amy Reed, we are sorry but you have not been accepted to UCLA. I stopped reading and looked up and saw Faith’s smiling face. She made it. My heart sunk. “Oh, I’m so sorry Amy.” I shook my head, “No, I’m fine, really. Good job Faith.” Faith smiled and nodded. Jeremy quietly said, “Let’s move on to Stanford.” Faith and I nodded and took a deep breath. We slowly opened the envelope. I looked inside in bold letters it said, Congratulations Amy Reed you have been accepted to Stanford University. I took a deep breath and looked up and Faith who was also smiling. We smiled and burst out laughing, not that anything was funny, it was just pure relief. I looked around to see my family all smiling back at us. I smiled back then looked down at the last envelope in my hands. I shivered; University of Miami was the college I had dreamed of getting into since I was in middle school, if I didn’t get in… “It’s going to be ok Amy, you heard what the man said when he came and saw us.” I nodded but I didn’t really believe it. This was my dream, how could I fail at the one thing I wanted? “Ok, lets open it.” I said in shaky voice. She nodded and looked down at her letter, I did the same. I slowly tore open the envelope, my heart racing. I looked down at the letter that said: Congratulations Amy Reed you have been accepted to Miami University. I looked up at Amy who returned my awestruck look. Immediately we jumped up and started screaming and hugging each other.

    Part 3 Chapter 5
After the dinner we headed back to the house with my family, Jeremy, Faith's aunt, uncle, child and herself. Once everyone was inside I pulled Jeremy out on the porch with me. He kissed me lightly on the forehead, while motioning me to sit down. Once we were situated he looked deep into eyes, "What's wrong?" I sighed, I guess I really am bad at hiding my emotions. "Jeremy, it's really nothing. I mean really." Jeremy gave me a look telling me he did not believe me. Once again I sighed and looked down, "Jack is going to have a mass in his honor next Saturday." Jeremy put a reassuring arm around my shoulder, "I know it will be hard, but it will be ok." I shook my head, "It's not that, I mean it is but not really, it's just that... You." I said in a jumble. Jeremy looked confused, "Me? Why?" I looked down in embarrassment, "I don't know if I can do it without you... I mean you understand Jack and I hope he understands you, it's just I can't go back there with his family with you..." When I looked up I could see that Jeremy was touched but slightly hurt. "You don't want people to know about me?" I shook my head, "No I do it's just that Jack died not even a year ago and I have a boyfriend. I can't go back with people thinking I didn't care about him, and that I've moved on..." once the words were out I wished I could take them back, the look on Jeremy's face was mixed with hurt, betrayal, and sympathy. "Jeremy... Please... I didn't mean it like that... I meant for Jack's family..." he nodded his head, "I get what your saying, but Amy people don't just expect you to stop living. I thought you stopped caring what people thought?" I sighed, my eyes stinging with tears, "I'm not Jeremy. Me being ok? It's all a charade. I'm only happy when I'm playing soccer and with you. And I do care what people think of me..." I was trying hard to not cry as Jeremy slowly lifted up my pant leg exposing my scarred skin, "you have these as a reminder, don't let society win Amy." Jeremy stood up and said, "I'll come with you to the mass, but only you can decide how people are going to react." Then he kissed me slowly on the lips and brought me back inside. That night after Jeremy had left and everyone else was asleep, Faith crawled up into my bed with me. "Amy? Are you still awake?" she asked in a sad voice. "Yeah, I'm awake." I sat up in bed and looked up at Faith. I could tell she had been crying, "What's wrong?" I asked even though I clearly knew the answer. "I can't do it Amy... I can't. Griffin can't see her... I won't let him." I put a comforting arm around her, "You don't have to go..." she shook we head violently, "No. I have to go, it's just he left me pregnant and alone." She said while staring at Sarah, who was sleeping in her crib. "Faith, what are you going to do when Sarah's older and she asks about her dad?" Faith shrugged her shoulders, "I'll tell her, he left us." I looked down, "Faith he left you in the beginning, you're pushing him away now..." Faith started crying, "I only want what's best for her. She's my whole world Amy, my whole damn world." I looked up at her shaking body, "I'm not saying to forgive him, I'm just saying let him at least see his daughter."

    Part 3 Chapter 4
"So Jeremy," my father started, "how did you meet Amy?" I looked at Jeremy clearly interested in his answer. "Well sir, it was sorta like love at first sight. I mean Amy said yes when I asked her out." I smiled, "Yeah, I said yes after the first 10 times." I said while rolling my eyes. Jeremy smiled at me, "You wanted to say yes the first time though." I shook my head and said playfully, "Not really." Jeremy gave me a light kiss on my hand. My mom spoke out next, "So what do you want to do when you grow up?" I swallowed hard, I knew his answer and I knew my mom wouldn't like it. "Well same thing as Amy, I want to go pro in soccer. That will always be my first career choice, but my next choice would be a teacher." I held my breath hoping that that was a good answer for my mom. My mom looked thoughtfully at him and asked, "What kind of teacher?" I took a sigh of relief that she ignored his first career choice. "Well, I want to be a high school English teacher." My sister, Sophia, started laughing, "A high school teacher? Well Amy better watch out cause all your students would be in love with you and that pretty face of yours." I felt my face turning bright red, but when I looked at Jeremy he was laughing with her and nodding. Damn natural I though while taking a sip of my water. My mom turned to Faith, "So how's my favorite baby doing?" she asked while pointing at Sarah. Faith smiled, "She's been really good. Just a few more months and she'll be one!" the whole table sighed out saying 'awww' and 'beautiful' and 'congratulations'. After a while the waitress came over, "Hi, my name is Jamie, I will be your server tonight, may I get you guys something to drink?" Jeremy and I burst out laughing; the waitress looked confused. Once Jeremy stopped laughing he said with a chuckle, "Your name is a combination of my girlfriend's name and my name." the waitress gave us this suspicious look like she thought we were drunk or on drugs, which of course only made us laugh more. My mom rolled her eyes and said, "I think we can order our drinks and food." the waitress nodded. Slowly everyone at the table ordered, when it was my turn, I pointed to te water bottle I had brought from my game, "I'll just have more water, and could I have the taco salad?" The waitress nodded and walked away. Sophia rolled her eyes, "watching your weight?" my sister asked. I smiled, "I'm just tryin to look better than you." Faith joined in and laughed, "You already are!" everyone at the table started laughing, except for Sophia who looked like she was racking her head for a witty comeback. Jeremy smiled, "The score is tied, Sophia one and Amy one." I rolled my eyes. My mom looked at me, "Faith, Amy? Could you girls come with me for a minute?" we nodded and gave each other confused looks. I kissed Jeremy and started walking with my mom. She swiftly directed us to the restroom. When we were all in she looked at us with sad eyes, "There's a mass for Jack next saturday I know it doesn't sound like a big deal but think about it." I sighed, " of course there's the obvious but what about Jeremy?" my mother nodded her head. I turned to Faith, whose face was ash white. "Griffin will be there, and I have to bring Sarah." Once again my mom nodded her head, "I know I should have waited till after dinner but Jack's mom texted me asking me if you guys were coming." I took a deep breath, "I'll be there; I just don't know about Jeremy..." Faith also sighed, "I… I... I'll be there..." Faith and I automatically turned to hug each other. My mom opened we phone and replied to Jack's mom. I sighed and pulled Faith back to the table with me. Jeremy could sense the sadness that had crossed over us. He gave me an odd look, I just shook my head and mouthed later. He nodded and looked up with a smile on his face, "looks like our dinners here."
