Someone Like You
Chapter
Eight
I was momentarily shocked, but then I
shoved him off me.
"WHAT THE HECK?" I shouted, wiping his spit off me.
"Gross!"
The drunk leaned toward me, but a big hand pushed him off me.
I looked up to see Matt holding the pervert by the scruff
of his neck.
"M-Ma-Matt?" I yelled, surprized.
"What did he do?" he asked, glaring at the man.
"He just kissed me, I could have handled it myself,"
I said, glaring up at him.
His neck turned red, and his cheeks got pink.
"Come on," he said, dropping the man, who curled up
on the floor, puking up the remains of his brandy. I
stepped over him and Matt grabbed my hand, pulling me out of
the club
I followed him into his car, sliding down into the upholstery
that I had been so scared to be sitting in just an hour ago,
but was now comfortingly familiar.
"What were you doing there, Josie?" Matt barked, his
eyes narrowed, focused on the streets in front of him.
"It doesn't matter," I muttered.
He slammed on the brake and leaned over, looking me in the
eyes.
"Yes. It. Does."
Then he leaned down and smashed his lips to
mine.
