You're Out
 

Chapter 1:

"Hey, how are you?"
I glanced up at the six-foot tall guy in front of me. He shot me a movie star smile, which made his dark brown eyes smile.
The first thing I asked myself was what would a guy like Hunter James, huge playboy, want from a girl like me?
"It's Kellie right?"
"No, it's Kendel. And I am not a messenger for free."
Hunter's smile faded. "Huh?"
"Do you want to know the price?"
Hunter shook his head slowly. "I don't need you to be a messenger."
Now my sarcastic smile faded away. "Why are you bothering me?"
Hunter's face dropped and his lips pursed into a straight line, like he was anxious.
Hunter James, nervous? I looked down and smirked.
What happened to this world?
"Kell-I mean Kendel, can you, um-" Hunter paused for a moment too long.
"Can you please spit it out? Christmas is almost here."
Hunter loosened up a little, but I could hear him gulp. I knew this wasn't going to be good.
"Kendel, I wanted to ask you if you want-to um, be my girlfriend." Hunter's smile was crooked.
I choked on my Aquafina as my eyes widened.
Then I started giggling and my face turned red.
It was most definitly his friends Grady and Jake.
When are they going to grow up and mature?
"That's real funny Hunter. Tell Grady and Jake that I'm not as gullible as they think."
I got up and went to the door.
Hunter's face got pale. "Kendel, I'm serious!"
I stopped and turned around. I glared at him with my bright blue-green eyes.
"Out of this whole school, why would you pick me?" I demanded, "Cause I am not going to fall for this. And no offense, you just go out with random girls and tell them you love them and dump them after they open their legs for you!"
Hunter was taken aback by this, but he didn't really show it after a minute.
"Grady dared me on my life to make you fall in love with me." Hunter explained.
"And if you don't?" I questioned.
"I have to give my Lamborgini to him."
I considered this. "So I have to pretend to fall for you?"
"Yep. I'll give you anything. Promise."
I smiled a flirty white smile. "You've got yourself a deal."
Hunter smiled seductivly and came closer. "Great. Starting....now."
He came up to me and took me in for a romantic hug.
"Thank you Kendel."
"Oh, how about two thousand a week?" I asked.
"Sure. Two thousand every Friday." Hunter said.
