may i be constructive in my criticism?
this topic happens to be repeated in books/movies often. I'm not saying it's boring, but if you want this story to be published, you may want to make it different than common stories. Add a major twist.
I know you're just starting out with this story, but you have a wonderful topic and it will be the best it can be for a publisher!
