"truth," she told him. 'nobody ever tells the truth
anyway, right?' she thought to herself, just incase he asked
her that one question. »»"okay, who do you like?"«« that was it. that was the
question. she paused in fright, but had a sudden boost of
courage; "how about hints?" she offered, and he nodded
as if hints would be okay. "hes perfect. he's everything
a girl could want and more, this boy knows how to put a smile on
my face, no matter what. he makes me laugh, he makes me smile,
and sometimes he makes me cry too, but only when he's on a
date. i hate to know i might be letting him slip away. he's
closer than you think, too." she looked at him, waiting to
see his reaction. he looked as if he was sad, "oh, i see. i
like you, but, you obviously have a different guy on your
mind..." he said quietly, grabbing his coat and walking into
the rain. "wait!" she called after him, running out the
door. she turned him around, under the pouring rain. "i
forgot to tell you something about him," she said
