Chapter 1.



"Look out below!" I yelled, as I sprinted down the dock and plunged deep into the icy water. it was the middle of October, and 86 degrees out.
As i hit the bottom of the lake, i pressed my feet hard against the sand and shot back up to the top.
As I broke the surface , I heard the laughter of everyone around me and it reminded me of the Summer. 
"I rate that one a 9.8!" yelled Kaylee, from a few feet away.
"I can't believe how warm it is. It feels like Summer again. i can't believe we have to go to school Monday!" I exclaimed.
"I know its crazy" replied Cole.
After a few more hours of swimming, we all hauled ourselves out of the lake and into the unusally warm october weather. 
We walked back to Coles house and took our turns in the shower. 
There were 5 of us. 
Me, my sister Kaylee, my friend from Michigan cole, and my two best friends, Amy and Jenna.
We were visiting my grandmothers for her birthday in Newport. 
I loved going to her house. It was the highlight of my Summer usually; and now it was the highlight of my Fall i guess. 
Coming to her house helped me escape; escape from the drama and the chaos of my ordinary life.

Hi, my names Amelia. Im fourteen years old and live in a boring little town. Like any ordinary girl, i fall in love to easily . I hate attention and dont like to be pittied.
The story i'm about to tell you isnt going to be like any other. 
So you can listen, or you can skip what im about to tell you. But I can promise that you will enjoy it, and possibly even relate to it.
Well..here it goes.

I was 11 when I first fell in love. It was my first year of middle school. I hadnt noticed him untill a few weeks after school started. We were in class and had to be partnered up. He ended up being my partner.
At first it was awkward. We had no idea who each other was. 
But he was comfortable. he was funny, outgoing and he was so cute. 
It was like love at first sight.
 We exchanged numbers and started to get to know eachother. 
I was falling head over heals and he didnt even know it.
