Please
read..my
first poem in a long time and it is really important to me I know
its long and it doesnt rhyme but it shows a picture bigger than
any rhyming poem ever could...enjoy and comment with bad and
good feedback...thanks. :)
Its time you realize
That the face that you
see
Does not determine the
Soul that inhabits
her rotund body
That she was destined to have
curves and hips
Like a real woman
not like those skeletal
women you see powdered
With poison
Those women that where
told
from birth that
emaciated
Bodies were loved
And corpulent was
disgusting
These are the women that
taught
Big-boned young-women to
self-loathe
And that the size you were
affected
Your image in the eyes of
love
These women taught the
girls
All over to be thin or alone.
But, who taught these women
That less was best?
Society.
Like it teaches
everything
Else immoral and false
Hips and curves are
beautiful.
It’s the twinkle in your
eyes
That men should see not the
shape
Of your silhouette
Its should be that beauty that
comes
From within that turns heads
Not how low cut your blouse
is
Your are not the criminal
Society is for poisoning the
minds
Of the young and showing them
what “beauty” should
be.
And there wrong because beauty is
you.
