Unexpected
{Chapter Five}
The leaves crunched under my feet as I walked up the mountain, slowly i might add. My hands were sweating, partly because of the heat and partly because of Levi holding my hand. "C'mon Dylan. We'll be last if you keep up at this pace." Shutup will you? "Of course, Levi. Anything for you." He grinned at me and winked. Honestly, i have no idea how long i'll last at this. Maybe I'll talk to him about a fake break up? With that thought in mind, my mood lightened. Levi must have noticed my change in spirit because he quickened his pace into a light jog. When we reached the top, i flopped onto a rock and laid there, breathing heavy. Levi walked over and laid next to me, smiling the whole time. "Hey there Dylan." he said with a smile. "hi."
"How'd you like the hike?" I sat up and he did the same. "Listen, Levi. I was thinking we could, like have a fake break-up. Since we're not really going out... you know?" He looked at his feet, then into my eyes. I was confused, i saw pain? "I- I thought you were starting to like me too... I thought we were actually getting along..." He removed his hand from on top of mine and looked away. "Levi, Don't be sad. I mean, you have a girlfriend.. i have a boyfriend... the only way this could turn out is terrible." "Just think it over, will you?" He hopped of the rock and jogged over to his friends. He smiled when he reached them, and the playfully punched his shoulder. I could hear them asking about our relationship. cute.
